SMRC Survey: Opportunity to Increase Electability Rewards
The future presidential candidate (bacapres) Ganjar Pranowo is the figure who gets the highest electability in a survey issued by Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) for the period 30-31 May 2023. Ganjar gets the highest electability chosen by respondents by obtaining an electability of 37.9% .
SMRC conducted a series of national telephone surveys which were last updated on 30-31 May 2023. The target population for this survey is Indonesian citizens (WNI) aged 17 years and over or married and owning a telephone/cellphone, around 80% of the total. national population. The sample selection was carried out through the random digit dialing (RDD) method. RDD is a technique of selecting a sample through a random telephone number generation process.
With the RDD technique through the process of generating random telephone numbers, validating, and screening. The margin of error for the survey is estimated at ±3.3% at a 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling.
SMRC Research Director Deni Irvani said Ganjar’s electability was superior to several other names such as Prabowo Subianto who earned 33.5% or Anies Baswedan who received 19.2%.
“In the last survey of critical voters, 30-31 May 2023, Ganjar received 37.9% support,” said Deni in his statement, Monday (5/6/2023).
Still in the results of a survey conducted by SMRC, Ganjar’s popularity is significantly superior to Prabowo’s and Anies’. According to the SMRC survey, Ganjar’s popularity got 42.2% of the respondents. For Prabowo only at 32.1% and Anies at 17.4%.
“In the group of voters who know all three, Ganjar gets 42.2% support, significantly superior to Prabowo 32.1%, and Anies 17.4%. Those who don’t know are 8.3%,” he said.
With these results, according to SMRC, it is estimated that Ganjar will still be able to increase his electability if his level of recognition rises.
