The public considers that the figure of Ganjar Pranowo as a candidate for President (Capres) in the upcoming 2024 year has the most and continues to show concrete examples of how to implement tolerance and diversity values in the country.

The latest survey conducted by the Populi Center has mapped out the acceptability of 3 (three) presidential candidates (Bacapres) who will contest the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) in the public eye. The three Bacapres surveyed were Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan.

In the acceptability survey or how the public evaluates the character and character of the three presidential candidates, it turns out that the presidential candidate from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Ganjar Pranowo is considered by the public to be the most friendly figure to the people, then he is also considered to be the most up-to-date figure to the most possessing and upholding tolerance in Indonesia.

It is known that the survey data shows that the people in the country consider that Ganjar is indeed the friendliest candidate for the 2024 presidential candidate because he often goes directly to the people and greets the people so that the people become close to him and don’t even feel that they have too much gap. Far.

It can be seen that on the acceptability indicator in the friendliness point, it is evident that the Bcapres which has been officially promoted by the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the PDIP has a score of up to 48.3% (percent), which is the highest figure and then followed by Anies Baswedan with the number 29 .6% (percent) and finally, Prabowo Subianto with only 14.1% (percent).

Meanwhile, for an indicator of acceptability regarding how the Bacapres figures are assessed by the public, whether they are contemporary figures and able to answer challenges in today’s digital technology era, the public also has high hopes for Ganjar Pranowo with a score of up to 39.8%. (percent).

Another indicator of acceptability, namely how the public assesses the figure of the presidential candidates who are the most tolerant or the most able to appreciate differences, also falls to the man who is identical with white hair, which is shown by survey figures up to 38.4% (percent) followed by Prabowo Subianto with a figure of 25.8% (percent) and Anies Baswedan with only 22.1% (percent).

It is undeniable that one of the most important indicators of evaluating the attitudes or characteristics of future Indonesian leaders is that the public should be able to see and continue to elect leaders who have the highest tolerance values.

This is because in fact the Indonesian nation itself is a nation that has a very high level of plurality as well, so with this very high diversity rate, it is mandatory that the future President of the country must be a figure who is able to continue to set an example or exemplify regarding tolerance in the country.

Because with this high diversity, it is not impossible that the people themselves will easily be divided or experience friction horizontally, especially when discussing sensitive issues such as discussions related to issues of ethnicity, religion, race and intergroup (SARA). ).

Precisely do not let the political contestation and democratic party of the upcoming 2024 Election be used instead as an arena to further provoke and cause polarization with the many negative campaigns using SARA issues on social media and digital space.

One concrete example of how the figure of Ganjar Pranowo is a very tolerant figure is shown by his action when he greeted 32 monks who were doing Thudong or a walking procession from Thailand to Borobudur Temple in Magelang on Tuesday, 30 May 2023.

At that time, the presidential candidate who was carried by the PDIP immediately approached the monks who were taking a break at one of the Soto Kudus Tempuran prayer rooms, Jambu District, Semarang Regency. In fact, he didn’t just say hello, but the monks from Thailand were welcomed and entertained by him.

In this activity, Ganjar later stated that the presence of the monks who were doing Thudong to Central Java (Central Java) was also greeted with great enthusiasm by the residents, which is a reflection or a real reflection of the form of the diversity of the Indonesian nation.

Indeed, there are several important indicators from assessing the nature or character of prospective leaders who are considered capable and most ideal to be able to lead the Indonesian nation in the future. Soon, with the momentum of the 2024 election, of course the public must really make their choices correctly, one of which is being able to elect leaders who continue to uphold the value of tolerance because Indonesia itself has a high level of diversity. In this case, the figure of Ganjar Pranowo is considered by the public as the most tolerant presidential candidate when compared to other names.
