Thousands of Riau Youths Echo the Declaration of Full Support for President Ganjar Pranowo 2024
PEKANBARU — Thousands of youths in Riau echoed the declaration of full support for Ganjar Pranowo as President in 2024.
More than a thousand young people gathered at the Senapelan Sports Hall in Pekanbaru, Riau, where they called themselves the Ganjar Connection Riau (Gacor).
The Gacor Presidium, Dolly San David, explained that their reason for providing support for the PDI Perjuangan presidential candidate was because they were considered capable and had the same goals as President Jokowi.
Apart from that, they no longer want this country to be led by people who are slow, so they think that the figure of Ganjar Pranowo is very energetic and capable of bringing Indonesia forward.
“The majority of young people want a leader who is fit and healthy. The day starts with a run. Because how can a large country with a majority of young people be led by a slow leader?” said Dolly.
“We need a strong, energetic person who will bring Indonesia forward every day, and Mr. Ganjar Pranowo is the only one who starts the day by running,” he added.
On the same occasion, another member of the Gacor Presidium, Zulkardi, led the declaration by youths from 12 regencies in Riau province.
“We, the young people of Riau, fully support and fight to win Mr. Ganjar Pranowo as president in 2024,” said the declaration’s firm statement.
Then, PDI Perjuangan Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto expressed his gratitude and considered that the support from the youth in Riau was very meaningful.
“Therefore we gratefully accept the support of the youth. This support means a lot,” he said.
“Young people are progressive in character, have ideals, so Gacor’s support will give the movement strength, not only in Riau, but Sumatra and Indonesia,” said Hasto.
He also plays a role in these young people to be more active in moving directly to the grassroots in society.
“And don’t forget the door-to-door movement, knocking on people’s doors, like the blusukans that were carried out by Mr Jokowi and Pak Ganjar. Those there can’t blusukan,” said Hasto.
As was the case with the Ganjar Youth Volunteers (OMG) who worked directly in the community by enlivening the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia with many positive activities.
Regional Coordinator of Central Java OMG, M. Akmal Arravi explained that they enlivened the Republic of Indonesia Anniversary activities in Wonogiri Regency with many activities.
“We hold a variety of interesting activities, starting from casual walks, healthy gymnastics, August competitions, and volleyball tournaments,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Regional Coordinator of OMG Wonogiri, Devi Putri explained that their arrival was greeted enthusiastically by the residents and compactly supported Ganjar Pranowo.
“The community welcomed OMG’s arrival very well and compactly called for support for Mr. Ganjar Pranowo to become President of Indonesia in 2024,” he said.
