The young generation in West Sumatra is increasingly joining ranks to support Ganjar Pranowo as President 2024. This is indicated by the existence of the Ganjar Young People (OMG) volunteer group which is filled by many young people in various circles and backgrounds, including as many as 4 (four) President of BEM in West Sumatra Province.
Support for the Presidential Candidate (Capres) supported by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Ganjar Pranowo continues to flow in all regions in the country, including in Minang. In fact, this support also comes from various backgrounds in society, including young people.
One of them came from young people in the Student Executive Board (BEM) in West Sumatra Province (Sumbar). They have a very strong commitment and determination to be ready and continue to fight to win the figure of the leader who is identified with white hair so that he can become President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in the period 2024 to 2029.
One of the BEM Presidents at West Sumatra universities, Muhammad Fajri, also admitted that it turns out that quite a few of his friends among students in Tanah Minang idolize the figure of Ganjar Pranowo as a leader because they see his leadership pattern and style which is considered to be very successful.
Not half-hearted, in fact as many as 4 (four) Student Presidents in West Sumatra, all of them have officially joined the ranks of the Ganjar Young People, which is a collection of young volunteers from various circles who provide full support to the leader born in Karanganyar Regency. .
Not only do they provide their full support, but they have also made a strong commitment to continue to intensify their efforts and continue to reach out to voters in society down to the grass roots in order to be able to convey victory greetings from Ganjar Pranowo.
The claim that the 54 year old leader is truly admired and idolized by many young people from Gen Z and millennials has even been proven in several survey results conducted by independent survey institutions.
One of them came from an international-based survey institution, namely Ipsos Public Affairs, which found that Ganjar Pranowo’s electability was indeed very superior among youth voters in the millennial age group, namely 25 to 39 years old, and also very superior among Gen Z aged 17 to 24 years old.
Regarding the survey results, Senior Researcher from Ipsos Public Affairs, Arif Nurul Imam, explained that millennials continue to support the figure of the cadre from the party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri with an electoral figure of up to 39.90 percent, and among Gen Z, their votes are even very significant, namely in figure 42.40 percent.
According to the researcher, of course Ganjar Pranowo’s electability could be very superior among young people, namely millennials to Gen Z, this is not without reason and did not just come by chance. The reason is, he believes that so far the leader who has served as Governor of Central Java (Central Java) Province for 2 (two) periods is much more active on various social media.
Apart from that, so far the campaign method owned and carried out by the party cadre with the bull logo with a white snout has also proven to be much easier to be accepted by various groups in society including young people starting from millennials and Gen Z, the language he uses is also very down to earth. public.
Therefore, it is not surprising that youth leaders in West Sumatra Province are very familiar with the figure of Ganjar Pranowo and they even admit that they really idolize his leadership character so far. So that this figure during the implementation of the democratic party and political contestation in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) will clearly have enormous potential to win in West Sumatra.
All the youth in Tanah Minang have also made a strong commitment to continuing to socialize the various programs and achievements of the PDI Perjuangan Presidential Candidate. So that when all the students have moved, it is not impossible that the votes they get will continue to increase significantly.
The youth gave their full support to Ganjar Pranowo also because he is a leader who has a commitment and a clear vision and mission for the good of the nation’s future generations from the many programs he has carried out so far.
Because all of its work programs have so far been considered very successful in leading Central Java, resulting in various achievements and awards, it is not surprising why young people continue to join the ranks of volunteers supporting the PDI Perjuangan cadres, including the BEM President and students in West Sumatra.
