CIDISS – Rubber Price in the Interior of North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan in early April 2016 back down to IDR 4,000 per kilogram, whereas the previous price was IDR 4,500/Kg.
Rubber is one of the leading commodity societies in inland counties Central Kalimantan. Most of the residents of that area work as rubber farmer, both rubber from good seedlings and local superior.
Broad people’s rubber plantation in the County which is famous for its natural resource potential of coal was recorded 35.646 hectares with dried rubber production reached 18.696 tons per year. All people’s rubber plantations is spread over nine districts in the region.
Irwansyah, rubber farmer in jambu village, district of Teweh Baru, as in Antara News kalteng.com, said the down of the price of rubber has happened in the last two months, then it make farmers in the Interior of the Barito River were battered again after the last few months improve well.
The down dramatically of the rubber price was allegedly due to game the middleman who controlled the sale of rubber in the area by adjusting market prices in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan.
“We expect the price of rubber back improved to help farmers, moreover the current prices of daily necessities are rising,” he said.
