Alumni UI We Care: Dewi Puspitorini’s Breakthrough Pushes Digitalization for ILUNI 2025
Depok – A strong commitment to driving positive change within the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI) continues to be echoed by the Alumni UI We Care community. Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, introduced a bold new initiative centered around digital transformation, aimed at building a more modern and high-quality ILUNI.
As a candidate for Chairperson of ILUNI UI for the 2025–2028 term, Dewi emphasized her vision to create an inclusive, forward-thinking, and impactful alumni organization. This commitment was shared during the “Alumni UI We Care!” event held at the IASTH Building, Central Jakarta.
The event was not merely a gathering of alumni—it featured a series of programs designed to directly address societal needs. Activities such as a job fair, entrepreneurship talk show, alumni-run MSME bazaar, and free health check-ups demonstrated ILUNI UI’s potential as an adaptive and socially relevant institution.
“Togetherness is more than just unity; it’s a collective force to move forward. UI alumni must take real action—not only on campus, but also in society at large,” Dewi stated.
She explained that the theme of solidarity, expressed through the tagline “U and I Guyub, U and I become Us,” would be realized through concrete initiatives. One key pillar is the digital transformation of alumni engagement via the UI Connect platform, designed to link alumni across regions and countries.
“Technology should bring us closer, not create distance. With UI Connect, alumni worldwide can stay connected within one inclusive and dynamic ecosystem,” Dewi explained.
Beyond digital innovation, Dewi also highlighted the importance of strong organizational governance. She believes ILUNI UI must implement a transparent and professional management system in order to become a leading example for other institutions.
“ILUNI UI must be a model of integrity—clean, open, and impactful. True legitimacy comes from consistent accountability,” she affirmed.
Alumni welfare is another key focus for Dewi. She emphasized the need for measurable support programs, including healthcare services, psychological support, and financial assistance.
“The well-being of our alumni—both physical and mental—is an investment in strengthening ILUNI UI’s future role,” Dewi added.
This initiative has been positively received by alumni, many of whom believe that digitalization will not only strengthen alumni networks but also expand ILUNI’s social impact.
Support for Dewi also came from prominent alumni, including Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, Chair of ILUNI UI’s Faculty of Medicine. He praised Dewi’s leadership qualities and her clear, relevant vision for navigating today’s rapidly changing environment.
“Dewi has a strong and clear vision, as well as the proven capacity to lead. She brings together professional competence with a collaborative spirit to unite the diversity of our alumni,” Wawan said.
The ILUNI UI Chairperson Election is scheduled for August 23–24, 2025, and will be conducted via an e-voting system. This approach is seen as a way to broaden participation while enhancing the legitimacy and transparency of the election process.
Through the momentum of “Alumni UI We Care,” Dewi Puspitorini signals a new direction for ILUNI UI. With an inclusive vision, a focus on digital transformation, and a strong emphasis on member welfare, Dewi offers a vision of an alumni organization that is more adaptive, transparent, and genuinely impactful for the nation.
