EAST JAVA — The celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri in various regions is confirmed to be in a safe and conducive condition.

This success is the result of solid synergy between the government and security forces in ensuring public comfort during the homecoming and celebration period.

To ensure this, the Deputy for Coordination of Security and Public Order (Kamtibmas) of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Brigadier General Pol. Asep Jenal Ahmadi, directly reviewed the security posts in East Java.

He ensured that security services and public facilities for travelers were running optimally.

“We reviewed and checked one of the security posts in East Java,” he said.

“This is in accordance with the direction of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs that the state must be present in providing excellent services to the community so that it can run safely, smoothly and conducively,” said Asep in an official press release from the Public Relations of Political and Security Affairs, Friday (28/3).

Asep also assessed that coordination between the TNI, Polri, and local governments was effective in keeping the situation under control.

“We appreciate the synergy and collaboration led by the Madiun Regent, the Chief of Police, and the Dandim Madiun,” he explained.

He emphasized that supervision will continue until the return flow period to ensure public comfort.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan led monitoring in six strategic areas, including East Java, to ensure the readiness of Operation Ketupat 2025.

“This review is a real form of the state’s presence in ensuring the public’s sense of security during the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri,” he emphasized on Wednesday (26/3/2025).

According to him, the security and order conditions are generally stable, with no reports of prominent cases.

The increase in homecoming traffic has also been anticipated by implementing various traffic engineering measures.

“The Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs is committed to continuing to be present and ensuring that the public can celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely, comfortably, and joyfully,” he concluded.

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has predicted that the peak of the homecoming flow will occur on Friday (28/3/2025).

Various traffic engineering schemes, including contraflow and one way, have been prepared to anticipate the surge in vehicles.

“If extreme density occurs, a one-way policy will be implemented to maintain the smooth flow of homecoming traffic,” he explained. (*)
