Jakarta – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasized his commitment to carry out comprehensive reforms in the education sector through the launch of a new initiative entitled the Fast Best Results Program (PHTC) coinciding with the commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2025. This program is intended to significantly improve the quality of education in a short time, responding to the long-standing challenges of national education.

The Fast Best Results Program includes the renovation of thousands of schools, digitalization of education, providing incentives for honorary teachers, and educational funding assistance for teachers who do not yet have a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma IV.

President Prabowo said that education is the main foundation in determining the rise of a nation and state. Therefore, he emphasized that this program will be a national priority that is implemented systematically, measurably, and collaboratively between the central government, regions, and stakeholders in the education sector.

According to Prabowo, it is impossible for Indonesia to become an advanced and prosperous country if its education sector is not running well.

“The government of the Republic of Indonesia, successively from government to government from time to time, has always placed education as the most important thing,” said Prabowo.

This is reflected in the nation’s development strategy which is already on the right track. In fact, compared to many other countries, Indonesia places education as the top sector in the State Budget (APBN). Prabowo compared it to India which prioritizes the budget on defense.

“Compared to other countries, our country places education at the top of the APBN, education is the most important. If I’m not mistaken, the current APBN is the highest, above 22%. If we compare it to other countries, India’s number 1 is defense,” said Prabowo.

Previously, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti said that Prabowo would announce the amount of assistance for honorary teachers and teachers who have not graduated from diploma 4 or S-1. The announcement will be made by Prabowo to coincide with the commemoration of National Education Day on May 2, 2025.

“Assistance for teachers who have not graduated from D-4 or S-1 is IDR 3 million per semester. The figure will be announced later by the President,” said Mu’ti.

Mu’ti said that the nominal assistance received by teachers would be different. For teachers who have not graduated from diploma 4 and strata 1, each will receive assistance of IDR 3 million per semester. Meanwhile, honorary teachers will receive IDR 300 thousand per month.

In addition, Mu’ti said that his ministry will launch a priority program for school development targeted for completion in 2025. A total of 10,440 schools will be renovated with a budget of IDR 16.9 trillion.

“We will be there in the framework of Hardiknas, the launch of the President’s first priority program is to launch school development. We plan to build and renovate 10,440 schools this year,” explained Mu’ti.

With the spirit of transformation and collaboration, the Fast Best Results Program is real proof that the Prabowo Subianto government is not only oriented towards promises, but also towards real achievements. The hope is that in the near future, Indonesian education will be able to compete at the global level and create superior human resources who build the future of the nation.
