Government leaders and employees need to be aware of the spread of radicalism. This vigilance needs to be continuously built and maintained so that no more civil servants become victims.

One of the social problems that occur in Indonesia is the existence of radicalism and terrorism. Radicalism is a very serious problem because its cadres always campaign for a caliphate state, even though this concept is not in accordance with the condition of the pluralistic society in this country. Therefore, radicalism becomes a big PR so that it is immediately abolished in Indonesia.

Radicalism has penetrated into several state institutions and government agencies. Radical cadres are very clever at acting and act as if they are neutral, even though secretly they are members of radical groups. If they can become government employees or state agencies, it is dangerous because they can take advantage of their rank and position to spread radicalism.

Former head of the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) Ansyaad Mbai stated that radicalism had infiltrated state institutions. This is the strategy of the radical group. The proof is the arrest of 3 suspected terrorists who are members of a well-known state institution.

People do not think that there are employees of state institutions who are members of terrorists. This proves their skill in acting, as if they are fine but secretly become radical cadres. After successfully entering state institutions and getting positions, they will only give lectures and use their positions to benefit radical groups.

Yet such use is dangerous because it can poison people’s minds. For example, when a member of a state institution gives a radical lecture, it is as if they represent the name of the institution. In fact, he made a speech on behalf of a person and a state institution that had nothing to do with radicalism.

Therefore, in state institutions and government agencies cleaning is being carried out, are there other employees who turn out to be radical cadres? There should be no more cases because of employees whose minds have been polluted by radicalism.

The current method of investigation is very easy because it uses technology. On average, every government agency employee has a social media account. Just open your cellphone or laptop and look for their account. If they are caught often blaspheming the government and sharing hoaxes and news that suggest radicalism, then they can certainly become radical cadres.

After being proven to be a radical cadre, the government agency employee will receive a strong reprimand from his superiors. If you persist, you could be threatened with dismissal, because being a member of a radical group is the same as being a traitor to the nation. Disrespectful dismissal is a last resort, because the institution should not be synonymous with radicalism.

Currently, investigations into employees of state institutions are being intensively carried out. Do not let any official in the institution become a member of radicalism. The reason is because if he is already an official, he can take advantage of his status to foster radicalism. If there is a selection of candidates for officials there, it must be tightened and anti-radicalism is one of the conditions.

Eradication of radicalism in state institutions and government agencies must be carried out so that this understanding does not continue to spread in Indonesia. Do not let radicalism damage the younger generation and society in general. The reason is because this understanding can destroy the country slowly.

Radicalism must be eradicated everywhere, including in government agencies and state institutions. In fact, in both places, it must be tightened. No longer should any of its employees become radical cadres and be arrested for being suspected terrorists, because it will tarnish the name of the state institution.
