Jakarta – Deputy for Communication and Information of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Idham Malik said that BIN has re-launched its official social media accounts on various media platforms.
“The launch of this social media account is our strategic step, to get closer to the wider community within the framework of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Idham at the launch of the official BIN account, Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Jakarta.
The official accounts introduced in this launch include Instagram (@officialbin_ri), YouTube (OfficialBIN_RI), Threads (@officialbin_ri), Twitter/X (@OfficialBIN_RI), and TikTok (OfficialBIN_RI).
He added that the presence of BIN’s social media accounts has strategic value, as a means of literacy for the community to prevent disinformation.
“BIN’s presence in the digital world is a manifestation of our commitment to get closer to the community, provide strong information and literacy, and counter hoaxes and disinformation that have the potential to disrupt the sovereignty and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
More than just a means of disseminating information, this social media account is expected to be a place for more active interaction with the community.
“We hope that this social media account can be a more interactive communication channel and help us to continue to develop and provide the best,” he added.
Idham also invited the entire community to participate in strengthening communication through this platform.
“We invite the entire community to follow and actively participate in establishing better communication. Let us maintain unity and togetherness and contribute to the progress of the nation and state,” said Idham Malik. ()
