JAKARTA – The government ensures that all crowded areas remain conducive during the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.

Strategic steps are implemented to ensure public safety and comfort, especially on homecoming routes, shopping centers, and tourist areas.

Deputy for Security and Public Order Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam), Brigadier General Pol. Asep Jenal Ahmadi, reviewed several security posts in East Java to ensure regional stability.

“We reviewed and checked one of the security posts in East Java,” he said.

“This is in accordance with the direction of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs that the state must be present in providing excellent services to the community so that it can run safely, smoothly and conducively,” said Asep in an official press release, Friday (28/3).

During the review, the team inspected security posts, health posts, and public facilities at strategic points for travelers, including places of worship and rest areas.

Asep assessed that the situation was safe and under control thanks to the synergy between the police, TNI, and local government.

“We appreciate the synergy and collaboration led by the Madiun Regent, the Chief of Police, and the Dandim Madiun,” he added.

Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Budi Gunawan, also deployed a monitoring team to six main regions to ensure that Operation Ketupat 2025 runs optimally.

“This review is a real form of the state’s presence in ensuring the public’s sense of security during the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri,” he stressed, Wednesday (26/3).

In addition to ensuring smooth traffic flow, the government also guarantees the distribution of logistics and overall public safety.

“A total of 1,235 joint personnel were deployed to keep the situation under control at strategic locations,” said Budi Gunawan.

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has predicted that the peak of the homecoming flow will occur on Friday, March 28, 2025.

To anticipate the surge in vehicles, traffic engineering such as contraflow and one way are prepared.

“The peak of the homecoming flow is estimated to occur D-3 of Eid or on March 28,” he explained.

If extreme congestion occurs, one way traffic will be implemented to ensure smooth travel for travelers.

With various efforts made, the government ensures that public safety and comfort are maintained during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

This strategic step is expected to provide a sense of security for all residents who celebrate Eid in their hometowns or who are active in crowded centers. (*)
