Apart from having an impact on the distribution of development in the future, it seems that the development of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago has been able to reduce unemployment in Indonesia. It is recorded that more than 20,000 people have submitted applications to take part in the open selection for acceptance of Non Civil Servant Government Employees (PPNPN) to work at IKN. The selection opened on 20 February 2023 and just closed on 24 February 20223.
Tens of thousands of applicants have registered for various positions that are being opened. The formations or fields opened for recruitment are: Secretariat, Legal and Compliance Work Unit, Deputy for Planning and Land Affairs, Deputy for Development Control, Deputy for Social and Culture and Community Empowerment, Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation, Deputy for Environment and natural resources, deputy for funding and investment, deputy for facilities and infrastructure.
The position or field with the most number of applicants was the Secretariat with 19.4%, followed by the Deputy for Environment and Natural Resources with 14.3% and the Deputy for Social Culture and Community Empowerment with 13.4%.
Later on , the applicants will be verified and an administrative selection will be carried out. After the announcement of administrative results, participants who pass will take an Academic Potential Test (TPA) and a psychological test, then proceed with an interview.
