Dewi Puspitorini Offers Digital Transformation and Solidarity Through UI Alumni We Care
Jakarta — The election of the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period has brought a new dynamic to the organization. One prominent candidate is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, a 1987 alumna of the UI Faculty of Medicine, who champions a spirit of togetherness to strengthen the role of alumni on a national and global scale.
Dewi officially registered as a candidate for General Chairperson with serial number 6. The vision she brings is summarized in the concept of “Building a UI Alumni Association that is united, progressive, inclusive, and has a real impact on alumni, alma mater, and the nation towards Golden Indonesia 2045.” Through the tagline “U & I Guyub, U and I become Us,” Dewi wants to make togetherness an energy for change.
“Guyub is not just a symbol of unity, but a foundation of strength to face the challenges of the times,” concluded Dewi Puspitorini.
In her plan, Dewi prioritizes digital transformation through the UI Connect platform. This system will connect alumni across generations and professions, creating a collaborative ecosystem that adapts to technological developments.
Support also came from alumni figures. Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, Chairman of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, assessed Dewi’s significant capacity to unite diversity.
“Dewi is a visionary figure and is able to understand the needs of alumni from different generations,” said Wawan Mulyawan.
Dewi’s involvement in alumni organizations is nothing new. She has held several strategic positions, including Secretary General of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (ILUNI), Deputy Chairperson of ILUNI FKUI, Secretary General of FIAKSI, and Chairperson of IKAMARS UI. As a medical specialist who also served as Director of the Health Professionals at RSPAD and was entrusted with the role of personal physician to the President, her experience demonstrates her resilience in leading a large organization with high responsibilities.
Furthermore, Dewi also emphasized the importance of concrete actions that address the needs of alumni and the community. One example is the “UI Alumni We Care!” event, which will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, on the 5th floor of the IASTH Building, Jalan Salemba Raya No. 4, Central Jakarta. This event will feature a series of programs, including a job fair with participation from various industry sectors, an entrepreneurship talk show, and an alumni MSME bazaar.
Free health checks and a live entertainment stage complemented the event, making it not just a get-together but also a forum for sharing benefits for alumni, students, and the general public. Through this momentum, Dewi aimed to demonstrate that the UI Alumni Association (Alumni Association) can be a real force, not only on campus but also in the nation’s social and economic life.
Dewi’s spirit of togetherness has given UI Alumni a new lease of life. With her digitalization strategy, leadership track record, and inclusive ideas, she offers a new direction she believes will make UI alumni more united, competitive, and relevant in the global era.
