Jakarta – The election of the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period marks a pivotal moment for the future of Indonesia’s largest alumni organization.
One candidate who has drawn significant attention is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, SpP, MARS. Carrying an inclusive, progressive, and collaboration-based vision, Dewi is determined to position ILUNI UI as a strategic force making tangible contributions to national progress.
Dewi emphasized that ILUNI UI must serve as a “grand home” for all alumni—across faculties, cohorts, and professions—without barriers of difference.
“ILUNI UI must become a hub of connection and collaboration that strengthens alumni contributions to national development,” she said.
Her vision is outlined in five strategic missions: complete digitalization of ILUNI UI through the UI Connect platform, strengthening the global alumni network, enhancing alumni welfare and health programs, contributing to a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia, and empowering women in leadership.
Through UI Connect, Dewi aims to expand alumni connections across regions and sectors, facilitating idea exchange and collaboration to support national development goals.
“With alumni networks spread across the globe, ILUNI UI holds tremendous potential to drive innovation and provide strategic solutions for the nation,” Dewi noted.
She also places special emphasis on gender equality, viewing the increased role of women in strategic leadership as a means to enrich perspectives and enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness.
“Gender equality is the key to building a modern, responsive, and resilient organization,” she stressed.
Support for Dewi comes from various circles. Chairman of ILUNI UI’s Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, describes her as a unifying figure across faculties and generations, with a strong leadership track record.
Meanwhile, ILUNI UI Secretary General Ahmad Fitrianto underscored the importance of strengthening synergy with the Indonesian State University Alumni Association (HIMPUNI) and the government in promoting digital innovation, food security, and improved public welfare.
Dewi is officially registered as Candidate Number 6 for ILUNI UI Chairperson. The election will be held via e-voting on August 23–24, 2025. Current ILUNI UI Chairperson Didit Ratam has called on all alumni to verify their accounts and actively participate.
With a collaborative vision, digital innovation, and commitment to national issues, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini is seen as capable of making ILUNI UI a strong, globally competitive alumni force with a strategic role in realizing the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.
