Jakarta — Dr. Dewi Puspitorini has officially announced her candidacy for Chairperson of the Universitas Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 term, bringing forward a vision of ILUNI UI as a united, progressive, and inclusive “great home” for all alumni. Through the tagline “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us,” Dewi envisions a strong alumni ecosystem that makes meaningful contributions to the alma mater and national development toward Indonesia Emas 2045.
As a pulmonologist with an extensive leadership background in various health institutions, Dewi presents concrete ideas to transform ILUNI UI into a modern and impactful alumni organization.
Her vision is articulated through five strategic missions: complete digitalization of ILUNI UI, strengthening the global alumni network, alumni welfare and health programs, contributions to a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia, and women’s empowerment through leadership.
“ILUNI UI must become a great home for all alumni — a space to exchange ideas, grow together, and make meaningful contributions,” said Dewi.
She emphasized the importance of transparent, accountable, and adaptive organizational governance in facing today’s challenges.
Dewi also places strong emphasis on gender equality. Through her women’s leadership program, she promotes the involvement of female alumni across development sectors.
To her, empowering women within the UI alumni community is a strategic step toward shaping new, globally competitive leaders.
With a progressive vision and concrete programs, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini calls on all UI alumni to choose a leader capable of making ILUNI UI a powerful force for the nation.
“Now is the time for U and I to become Us,” Dewi concluded.
Support for Dewi continues to grow from various alumni elements. Chairperson of ILUNI FKUI, Wawan Mulyawan, referred to Dewi as a unifying figure who can bridge faculties and generations.
“She possesses the vision and experience relevant to the needs of today’s alumni organization,” he stated.
Running with ballot number 6, Dewi is one of seven candidates in the ILUNI UI 2025–2028 Chairperson election. Competing alongside alumni from various faculties, her strong vision and experience make her a figure believed capable of mobilizing over 300,000 UI alumni to unite and contribute more broadly.
The ILUNI UI Chairperson election will be conducted via e-voting through the UI Connect app on August 23–24, 2025. This digital system reflects ILUNI UI’s commitment to building a modern and inclusive democratic tradition.
