Jakarta – The government continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of life for the people through the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), which has now become one of the flagship policies with long-term impacts on the nation’s economic growth.

This program not only ensures access to nutritious food for all layers of society but also creates significant opportunities for job creation and enhances national productivity.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, also reaffirmed his commitment to bringing Indonesia to a modern and advanced nation.

“We are determined to utilize all the great potential that Indonesia has. The Free Nutritious Meal Program is one example of a long-term investment that will not only improve the quality of life for the people but also strengthen the economic foundation of our country,” said President Prabowo.

Meanwhile, the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, revealed that they had secured an additional budget of IDR 100 trillion amidst efforts to streamline the 2025 state budget.

“This additional budget was achieved thanks to BGN’s success in meeting several strategic criteria, such as increasing employment, productivity, and innovation,” said Dadan.

On the international front, the MBG program has also received praise. Naomi Aiba, a researcher from the Kanagawa Institute of Technology in Japan, stated that this program is extraordinary.

“Indonesia has shown tremendous courage in implementing this program. The collaboration between the government, society, and related parties is a vital asset in ensuring the success of this program,” said Naomi.

One of the main objectives of the MBG program is to ensure that every Indonesian citizen, especially children and vulnerable groups, can easily access nutritious food regardless of their economic status.

This program is expected to improve the public’s health, which will, in turn, contribute directly to the enhancement of Indonesia’s human resources. In the long run, a strong and high-quality human resource will be the key to driving sustainable national development.

With strong support from various sectors, both from the government and society, the MBG program can become a major driver towards a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia. In this collective effort, it is essential for every individual to fully support the program so that it can run optimally, creating widespread positive impacts and contributing to the nation’s progress.
