Jakarta – The Indonesian government continues to accelerate the development of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) as a new, modern, innovative, and sustainable center of government. In order to realize this, strategic steps are taken by opening investment opportunities from various sectors, both domestic and international, to ensure the success of this project.
Presidential Communications Office Spokesperson, Dedek Prayudi, said that the construction of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) will continue.
“The commitment to the development of the IKN has not decreased at all. President Prabowo’s commitment to the IKN is no lower than the commitment of the 7th President Joko Widodo,” he said.
The government offers various attractive incentives, including ease of licensing, tax relief, and other facilities for investors who want to participate. This proactive step has been carried out through various international forums such as the G20 Summit and the World Economic Forum, where the Indonesian delegation presented the great potential of the IKN.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Capital Authority (OIKN) has received more than 500 Letters of Intent (LOL) or letters of statement of investment interest from prospective investors, as conveyed by the Deputy for Funding and Investment of OIKN, Agung Wicaksono.
The Head of OIKN, Basuki Hadimuljono also stated that there are 5 projects that will be built at the 9th groundbreaking, the projects include the office, hotel, restaurant, greening and housing sectors.
Furthermore, the Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani Indrawati stated that the development of the IKN is not only a symbol of Indonesia’s progress, but also a strategic investment opportunity.
“IKN is designed as an environmentally friendly future city, based on green energy, and supported by smart technology. This is a great opportunity for global investors,” he explained.
On the other hand, the involvement of local business actors is also a top priority for the government. Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Arsjad Rasjid, assessed that the development of the IKN will create a long-term positive impact on economic equality.
“IKN is not only a new center of government, but also a catalyst for the development of the Kalimantan region and its surroundings. Collaboration between the government, private sector, and the community will be the key to success,” he said.
With these various strategic steps, the government is optimistic that the development of the IKN can proceed according to schedule and provide broad economic benefits for the Indonesian people, while strengthening Indonesia’s position on the global stage.
The government also invites all elements of the nation to jointly support this development so that the IKN becomes the National Capital that can benefit the lives of the people and the progress of the nation. []
