Government Continues to Increase Reach of Free Health Check Recipients
JAKARTA The government continues to expand the scope of free health check (CKG) services for people throughout Indonesia.
Deputy Minister of Finance, Suahasil Nazara said that the 2025 CKG program uses a budget of IDR 3.4 trillion, with a breakdown of IDR 2.2 trillion from the Ministry of Health and IDR 1.2 trillion from the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).
“This free health check is given to people who have birthdays, children at school, pregnant women, and babies and children up to the age of six,” said Suahasil
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that as of March 11, 2025, 500 thousand people had registered for this program. The Director General of Primary and Community Health at the Ministry of Health, Maria Endang Sumiwi, said that registration is now open throughout the year, not only limited to the birthday of the beneficiary.
“Now it is not tied to birthdays. It is still a birthday present, but it can be taken at any time, according to the community’s readiness,” he said.
The free health check service also reaches the veteran group. On Thursday (13/3), 140 veterans received free health checks and treatment at the Dharmais Seroja Building, Bekasi City, West Java.
The activity held by the Indonesian Wednesday Blue Foundation and the Directorate General of Defense Potential of the Ministry of Defense (Ditjen Pothan Kemenhan) found four veterans suffering from cholesterol and hypertension. They were immediately given medication and monitored by the local health center.
On the other hand, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka directly reviewed the implementation of the CKG program at the Mampang Prapatan and Pancoran District Health Centers. He emphasized that this service must be accessible to all groups, including through direct registration at the nearest health center in addition to digital applications such as Satu Sehat and WhatsApp.
“This program is designed to reach all people according to their age and needs. This program can reach people according to their age and needs,” said Gibran.
It is known that this program is designed based on the life cycle of the community with three main moments, namely birthdays, school, and for pregnant women and toddlers. It is hoped that more people will take advantage of the CKG service to detect various diseases early and maintain their health.
