JAKARTA — The Hanura Party has officially declared a declaration of full support for Ganjar Pranowo in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
The existence of this collaboration officially took place after the Hanura Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO) chairman met the PDI Perjuangan chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri.
OSO then appreciated the attitude of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan), which he considered to place all supporting coalition partners as equals.
“So our talks complement each other and PDIP places our parties in an equal position,” he said.
“But he, (PDIP) under the leadership of Bu Mega has never thought of a small party, no matter how small, no matter how young,” added the Ketum Hanura.
With Hanura’s support, PDI Perjuangan Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto then also gave his appreciation again by praising the party for prioritizing internal consolidation and field work first.
“PDI Perjuangan appreciates Hanura, especially for his model of support which chooses to work in the field first, rally the people, and only then hold a meeting which coincides with Bung Ganjar’s increasingly rocketing electoral momentum,” said Hasto.
According to the Secretary General of PDI Perjuangan, so far Hanura’s working methods have been proven, especially since they have a mass base on the islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan.
“So work first, then meet, that’s Hanura,” said Hasto.
Under OSO’s leadership, Hanura has succeeded in presenting a lot of concrete work and being able to complement each other with other political parties that cooperate with each other.
“Hanura under the leadership of Bang Oso displayed more concrete work, full of enthusiasm, optimism and complementarity,” said the Secretary General of the PDI Perjuangan.
In the future, Ganjar Pranowo himself is said to be ready to have a dialogue with all levels of society, accommodate their ideas and also talk about the future of Indonesia.
It is known that the Hanura Party itself was the party that first directly declared itself to support Ganjar Pranowo the day after the PDI Perjuangan appointed him as a presidential candidate on April 21, 2023.
Then, the chairman of the party with the logo of a bull with a white muzzle explained that this political cooperation had clearly strengthened Ganjar’s support in the 2024 presidential election.
“The important thing is enthusiasm and we have stated that we will work together. So that’s what I can say at this time,” said Megawati.
In a similar vein, the Chairman of the PDI Perjuangan DPP Said Abdullah also revealed that with the support from Hanura it would certainly strengthen cooperation between the two parties.
“The arrival of the Hanura Party this afternoon will be at the PDI Perjuangan DPP Office to formally and establish itself in cooperation with the PDI Perjuangan,” he said.
Of course, with the additional strength of this support, it is hoped that it will be able to further boost Ganjar Pranowo’s electability. “This collaboration at the same time further strengthens the consolidation of support for Ganjar Pranowo to increase his electability going forward,” said Said.
