Infrastructure Excellence Drives Over 83% Public Satisfaction in Prabowo’s First Year in Office
Jakarta — Infrastructure development has become a key driver of high public satisfaction with the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. According to the latest survey by Index Politica, public approval of President Prabowo’s leadership has surpassed 83%, reflecting strong public appreciation for the administration’s development programs, which are visibly making an impact on the ground.
Fadhly Alimin Hasyim, Research Director at Index Politica, stated that the survey results indicate strong public trust in President Prabowo’s policy direction, especially in the infrastructure sector, which is seen as consistent, well-planned, and directly beneficial to society.
“This data shows a very high level of public satisfaction with President Prabowo’s leadership, as well as a strong and positive media presence,” he said.
Fadhly also noted a significant increase in public awareness of various government programs. According to him, 90.8% of respondents reported being informed about government activities and policies through media coverage and social media platforms.
“These findings serve as a reflection of the one-year journey of the Merah Putih Cabinet under President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran,” he added.
Among the most recognized ministries, the Infrastructure sector holds a prominent position. Fadhly highlighted that the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), is widely known for his programs on revitalizing irrigation systems and dams, which play a crucial role in strengthening national water and food security.
On the financing side, the government has also demonstrated solid fiscal performance. Deputy Minister of Finance, Suahasil Nazara, revealed that by the third quarter of 2025, the government had disbursed IDR 170.1 trillion for infrastructure development from the State Budget (APBN).
“Infrastructure development is shown on the far-right column — IDR 170.1 trillion has been absorbed, which is 42.3% of the total allocation of IDR 402.4 trillion,” he explained.
Suahasil detailed that this budget includes IDR 12.2 trillion for school revitalization, covering over 11,600 educational institutions from early childhood education to senior high schools. Meanwhile, for road construction and preservation, IDR 14.7 trillion has been allocated, with 47.8% progress achieved toward the 177-kilometer target. As for rural electricity infrastructure, IDR 3.6 trillion has been realized, reaching 36 provinces.
These achievements serve as concrete proof that development under the Prabowo-Gibran administration is focused on equitable distribution of benefits and improving the people’s welfare. The government ensures that every rupiah of the budget is used to strengthen regional connectivity, open up new economic access, and enhance the quality of essential public services.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development AHY emphasized the importance of sustainable and inclusive development. He stated that true sustainability must be built on three core foundations: food, water, and energy — essential pillars for a green transition and equitable economic growth.
“If we are serious about building sustainability, we must start with the foundations of life for every citizen: food, water, and energy. Without these, no nation can build a fair and sustainable future,” AHY asserted.
He further emphasized that under President Prabowo, the direction of national economic development is aimed at creating rapid, efficient, and clean green growth.
“Sustainability is not only about protecting the environment; it’s about how our economy can grow without depleting the very resources that support it. In this sense, sustainability is both a moral call and an economic strategy,” he concluded.
The government’s consistency in strengthening the foundations of national development has become a key factor in rising public trust. Through infrastructure projects that address social, economic, and environmental aspects, the first year of the Prabowo-Gibran administration is seen as delivering real and tangible change.
The public believes that the government’s efforts go beyond physical development—they are also building hope and confidence that Indonesia is moving toward a stronger and more sustainable future.
