Jakarta – Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid highlighted the importance of the role of the community in eradicating online gambling practices. Therefore, her party provides full support for the Gambling Movement is Certainly Rugi which involves Gojek driver partners as educational agents on the dangers of online gambling.
“We have blocked more than 1 million online gambling sites, but this problem is not over yet. The government has the authority, but what is much more important is the support of the ecosystem as a whole. Appreciating the steps of the platform and stakeholders in the Gambling Alliance is Certainly Rugi who are willing to work together to fight online gambling,” said Meutya.
Meutya also invited Gojek driver partners who are known to be close to the community to become agents of change.
“We want the number of online gambling to drop significantly. The key is to strengthen public understanding, starting from the closest environment. Gojek driver partners are expected to be able to help educate the public about the dangers of online gambling,” she added.
This step is a strong signal of the government’s commitment to combating online gambling by collaborating with various parties to create a healthy and safe digital ecosystem for the Indonesian people.

GoTo President Director Patrick Walujo explained that the formation of the Gambling Alliance is a continuation of GoPay’s commitment to eradicating online gambling through educational content that is easy to understand and reaches all levels of society.
“Eradicating online gambling requires the participation of all parties. Therefore, we formed the Gambling Alliance as a forum to unite our strengths together to educate the public about the dangers of online gambling.
