JAKARTA — The latest survey results released by the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) show that Ganjar Pranowo’s electability continues to excel in all simulations.

LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan explained that in a closed simulation of three names, the PDI Perjuangan presidential candidate showed his dominance as the leader most chosen.

Ganjar Pranowo managed to record electoral figures of up to 37 percent, beating other candidates.

“Simulation of 3 names, Ganjar with the highest 37 percent, then Prabowo with 35.3 percent, Anies with 22.2 percent and 5.5 percent not yet answered,” said Djayadi.

For information, the survey conducted by LSI was in the period 3 to 9 August 2023 with 1220 respondents and had a margin of error of around 2.9 percent at a confidence level of up to 95 percent.

Furthermore, Djayadi said that the white-haired leader’s electability had continued to improve very rapidly since he was first declared a presidential candidate in April 2023.

Previously, LSI survey results conducted by LSI in the period 15 to 21 July 2023 also showed that Ganjar Pranowo’s electability was leading with 35.2 percent of the vote.

Then in the open simulation, the electoral figure of the leader born in Karanganyar Regency also remained at the top with 24.9 percent of the vote.

Meanwhile, researcher from Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) Saidiman Ahmad assessed that the formation of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) apparently had no effect on the public’s support for Ganjar Pranowo.

“I suspect this will not have much of an impact on public support for Ganjar Pranowo. “Even duplicating the name of the coalition of parties supporting Jokowi in 2019 could backfire for Prabowo’s camp,” he explained.

On the other hand, according to senior PDI-P politician Hendrawan Supratikno, the trend of increasing electability of their cadres shows that voter awareness continues to increase.

The Chairman of the Economic Division of the PDI Perjuangan DPP also considers that the increase in Ganjar Pranowo’s electoral figures reflects public knowledge of his track record so far.

“This concerns political literacy related to the figure’s past history, party affiliation,” said the politician known as Prof. Hendrawan.

Likewise, the Chairman of the DPP Perindo Party, Heri Budianto, also assessed that the increase in the electability of the presidential candidate they supported showed the strength and hard work of the supporting political parties and the volunteers so far.

“Currently all forces are being mobilized to continue supporting Ganjar Pranowo to all voter segments,” he said.
