Many Parties Appreciate BIN’s Efforts Through PMI for Development of Papuan Farmers to Improve Community Welfare

Papua — Many parties give very high appreciation for the efforts that have been made by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) through the Inspiring Young Papua (PMI) in the context of providing guidance for Papuan farmers so that there can be an increase in people’s welfare.

The youths who have joined PMI together with BIN have provided guidance to farmers in Papua to manage corn fields.

Regarding this matter, PMI Papua Province Coordinator, Neil Leonardo Aiwoy said that all of these programs could run thanks to the very intense cooperation of PMI and many other stakeholders, including the full support of BIN.

“This program runs on very intense cooperation from PMI, youth, mothers, and fathers who are involved in this program. And of course this program is fully supported by BIN,” he said.

Not only using the land for corn management, but his party has also prepared many other corn-derived products.

All of this is aimed at making use of dead land on indigenous peoples’ lands to add economic value to the local community.

“We have prepared several products derived from corn downstream. We, PMI, accompanied by BIN, only facilitate the management of this idle land in order to add economic value to the community,” said Neil.

For all the successes and noble goals initiated by BIN through PMI for the people of Cendrawasih Earth, suddenly lots of appreciation from various parties continued to flow.

One of the corn farmers, Mama Agustina said that she was very happy with all the attention regarding welfare that had been given by PMI and BIN.

Not only happy, he even emphasized that he was very ready to manage the corn field.

The reason is, he is very grateful that now the people of Papua can work on their own land.

“We are happy we work on our own land. Thank you PMI and BIN for paying attention to us,” said Mama Agustina.

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Papua Province, M. Ridwan Ruusukan, revealed that the Papua Provincial Government fully supports all programs regarding corn processing.

Even the Provincial Government itself has also provided assistance in the form of building fences on the community’s corn fields and other assistance related to agricultural needs.

He also thanked Deputy IV for Economic Intelligence at BIN, I Gde Made Kartikajaya, for being willing to go directly to provide guidance to the people in Papua.

According to M. Ridwan, all of these activities could run very smoothly thanks to BIN’s full support.

“PMI is doing good, let’s participate. Papua Provincial Government will fully support. Thank you also for the support of the General, so that this activity can run well, “he said.

In addition to corn farming in Sitori Village, Kab. Tambrauw Southwest Papua, PMI and BIN also provide guidance in the livestock sector in several areas in Papua, for example the Pig Farm Owned by Albert Burwas, Manokwari Regency, West Papua and the PMI Cattle Workshop, Bomberay District, Fak – Fak Regency.
