Megawati Announces Ganjar Pranowo as the 2024 Presidential Candidate from PDI Perjuangan
Bogor – The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, has been appointed as a candidate for President of the PDI Perjuangan. The general chairman of the PDI Perjuangan party, Megawati Soekarnoputri, announced this decision at the Batutulis Palace, Bogor, West Java, Friday (21/4/2023).
In the 140th PDIP DPP meeting, PDIP chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri announced the presidential candidate that was carried by the PDIP Party which was the prerogative of the general chairman of PDIP to nominate a presidential candidate from PDIP.
Therefore, the chairperson of the PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri, announced and appointed the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, as the Presidential Candidate from the PDIP in 2024.
“I have received the mandate and prerogative to determine the presidential and vice-presidential candidates to be carried by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle,” said Megawati.
“By saying Bismillahirohmanirohim, determine brother Ganjar Pranowo. Now it is the Governor of Central Java as a cadre and party officer to increase his assignment as a candidate for President of the Republic of Indonesia from the Indonesian Democratic Party of struggle.” continued Megawati.
Meanwhile, on the same occasion, President Joko Widodo highly appreciated the decision of the chairman of Megawati and the PDI Perjuangan to designate Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate from the PDIP.
“I really appreciate the decision and Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, the chairman of the PDI Perjuangan, who has just announced her decision on the presidential candidate proposed by the PDI Perjuangan, namely Mr. Ganjar Pranowo,” Jokowi said.
Do not forget, Ganjar Pranowo, who was appointed as the Presidential Candidate from PDIP, gave his speech. He said the task given by the chairman of the PDI-P as a presidential candidate would be carried out as well as possible.
“Today the general chairperson announced that she gave me a mandate as a candidate for President of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Ganjar Pranowo.
