In the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri, the government ensures that all aspects of public services run optimally. Various efforts have been made to maintain security, comfort, and smooth flow of homecoming and Eid al-Fitr celebrations in various regions, especially in areas with high mobility. Through cross-sector synergy, the government shows a strong commitment to providing a conducive atmosphere during this important moment.
The Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polkam) has ensured that the East Java region is safe and under control during the Eid holiday. The Deputy for Coordination of Security and Public Order (Kamtibmas) of the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs, Brigadier General Pol. Asep Jenal Ahmadi conducted a direct review of several security posts in Central Java to ensure the readiness of officers and public facilities. During the visit, a comprehensive evaluation of security posts, health posts, and public facilities at strategic points was carried out.
The monitoring results show that the security system and public services in the area are running optimally. Collaboration between the police, TNI, and local government is a major factor in creating safe and controlled conditions.
Synergy between various parties under the coordination of the regent, police chief, and local military commander also plays a major role in ensuring public comfort during the homecoming period and Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
The government through the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs has also taken strategic steps to ensure the readiness of all services and community needs during the Eid holiday. Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) General Pol (Ret.) Budi Gunawan emphasized that cross-sector synergy is the main key to maintaining conduciveness during the celebration.
Through the Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting, various related agencies, including the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), have agreed on strategic steps to ensure transportation services, supplies of basic necessities, and security systems are in prime condition.
Concrete steps have been prepared to ensure the smooth flow of homecoming and return flows. A total of 164,268 joint personnel from the Police, TNI, and various ministries and institutions have been put on standby at 2,894 security posts and other vulnerable points.
Traffic engineering, including the implementation of odd-even, contra flow, and one-way systems, have been designed to anticipate the surge in vehicle volume on the main homecoming routes. In addition, the readiness of land, sea, and air transportation modes is also ensured so that people can travel safely and comfortably.
In facing the potential for natural disasters that could disrupt the homecoming flow, the government has mapped vulnerable areas and prepared rapid response teams in various strategic locations.
Standby posts and evacuation centers have been prepared with adequate logistics, emergency services, and supporting facilities to handle potential disasters quickly and appropriately. This effort is made so that people still feel safe and protected during their homecoming journey or when celebrating Eid al-Fitr in their hometowns.
In addition to ensuring the safety and smoothness of transportation, the government also pays serious attention to price stability and the availability of basic necessities. Strategic steps have been implemented to ensure that food distribution runs smoothly without any obstacles in the supply chain. Thus, people can perform worship and celebrate Eid al-Fitr without worrying about price fluctuations or shortages of basic necessities.
On the other hand, National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo ensured that all series of activities during Lebaran were strictly monitored by the police. The peak of the homecoming flow that occurred on March 28-30, 2025 and the peak of the return flow on April 5-7, 2025 have been anticipated with various strategic steps.
Operation Ketupat 2025 was held to ensure smooth traffic with the right engineering scheme. A total of 2,582 security posts, services, and integrated posts have been spread across the main homecoming routes, providing maximum service for travelers.
Excellent service is also improved through the provision of a 110 hotline service that can be accessed by the public whenever needed. With this rapid response system, any obstacles or emergencies faced by travelers can be immediately handled by officers on duty in the field.
The Indonesian National Police together with various related agencies continue to work hard to ensure that the homecoming journey and Eid al-Fitr celebrations run smoothly, safely, and provide a comfortable experience for the community.
All efforts made by the government reflect a real commitment to providing the best service to the community. The cross-sector synergy that is built further strengthens readiness in facing various challenges that may arise during the Lebaran period.
With the strategic steps that have been implemented, the conduciveness of Eid al-Fitr can be maintained optimally, providing comfort and security for the entire community in celebrating this moment full of happiness. (*)
