The actions of the KST Papua are increasingly disturbing, not only civilians, the innocent Susi Air pilots, they are starting to dare to show their actions against soldiers who are members of the TNI to death, for these actions, the Head of the Papuan Tribe strongly condemns actions that do not represent culture and people native Papua itself.
The Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) some time ago took hostage Susi Air pilot Philip Mark Mahrtens on February 7 2023 , who has not been released until now .
The existence of a hostage-taking by KST Papua against Pilot Susi Air was an act of terrorism, as stated by the Head of the Enforcement and Capability Development Division of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), Inspector General of Police Ibnu Suhendra.
Inspector General of Police Ibnu Suhendra as Head of the BNPT has emphasized that the methods carried out by KST Papua are acts of terrorism that must be eradicated so as not to disturb public security.
The reason is, not only the hostage-taking of Philip Mark Mahrtens as the Susi Air Pilot, KST Papua has also attacked and burned the Susi Air plane belonging to the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti.
Even worse, KST demanded and wanted the independence of its territory by threatening to kill the pilot if Indonesia did not fulfill this wish. Of course, this violates Human Rights (HAM) as said by the Head of the BNPT, Inspector General of Police Ibnu Suhendra that this action is already classified as an act of terror by spreading and scaring the public so that their goals and achievements can be realized.
The efforts made by him to eradicate acts of terrorism in Indonesia cannot be arbitrary, because they require special, well-coordinated handling, so that the problem of terrorism can be resolved.
Not only does it require special handling, because the act of terrorism carried out by KST Papua is a complex problem. How could it not, that apart from eradicating acts of terror, they also have to fight against the ideology that has been embedded in the minds of these terrorists.
Therefore, to combat this act of terrorism, the tribal chief in West Papua, Mana n wir Hengky Korwa supports the actions of the TNI and Polri to eradicate KST, which according to him is not native Papuan culture.
In fact, the Papuan tribal chiefs themselves are ashamed of the existence of KST, which is troubling the public with its acts of terror. The public is advised not to easily accept the fake news being circulated by the KST.
According to Mana n Wir, as the Head of the Papuan Tribe, the existence of this KST has tarnished Papua’s good name, even though the indigenous people there have a polite nature, not as rude as those who are spreading acts of terror today.
Recently, the attack was still continuing as informed by the Commander of Korem 172/PWY, Brigjem JO Sembiring namely, one of the soldiers with the initials Pratu H received a gunshot wound to the head which caused him to die on the battlefield.
Private Private H at that time was guarding Gapura 2 Post, then suddenly came shots which were estimated to be at an effective distance of approximately 300 to 400 meters from the hill of Yigi Post.
The soldier eventually died because the perpetrator was thought to have used a long-barreled firearm which caused his head to be seriously injured and was taken to the Mimika Regional Hospital for the process of removing the body.
Then, on Tuesday 4 April 2023 Pratu H’s body was returned to his original residence, namely Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), this was as stated by JO Sembiring.
Although it is not yet known where the perpetrators of the shooting came from, Sembiring ensured that he had mobilized all TNI and Polri personnel to strive for alertness and anticipate further attacks from these individuals.
As the Chief of the Tribe, Mananwir strongly criticized the KST action which according to him not only disturbed the residents, this also hampered the development of Papua. How could it not be, during the construction of the trans road, the project workers were also attacked by this troubling separatist group. Imagine, they work must be escorted by the authorities to be safe and avoid KST attacks.
Therefore, before endangering and hindering the growth of the community, especially the Papuan people themselves, Manawir not only asked the TNI-Polri to take firm action, he also supported the eradication of terrorism carried out by KST elements so that this vicious action was stopped as soon as possible.
The tribal chief in West Papua , as a representative of the Papuan people, expressed his voice regarding KST, namely because it had tarnished the good name of culture and indigenous Papuans, so he asked BIN , TNI, and Polri to arrest and prosecute the KST who are troubling at the moment, he even hopes that KST will immediately be brought to justice and just disbanded.
