Papuan Community Figure Esau Tegai Supports and Appreciates MBG Program to Create Superior Next Generation in Papua

Papua – Papuan community figure Esau Tegai said that his party supports the commitment of President Prabowo Subianto’s government in implementing the MBG program in the Papua region.
This was conveyed by Papuan community figure Esau Tegai when met by the media in Jayapura Regency, Papua, Monday 19/5/2025.
According to him, the MBG Program implemented by the Government in the Papua Region is President Prabowo’s commitment to the next generation of Papua in order to create a strong and superior generation for the progress of Papua and the progress of the nation to realize Indonesia Emas 2045.
“Basically, as a community leader in Jayapura Regency, I am committed to supporting and overcoming nutritional problems, as a basic step to create a generation of Papuans as a strong successor generation with the potential to become a pillar of progress in Papua for the progress of the nation to realize the ideals of the golden Indonesian nation in 2045,” said Esau.
In addition, Esau Tegai also appreciates the government in implementing MBG in several areas in Papua because it aims to ensure the fulfillment of Nutrition in Papua, especially for children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. On the other hand, this program is also part of an effort to improve the status of the Papuan people.
“I really appreciate the government in this case the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) of Indonesia which has launched the Free Nutritious Meal program as part of an effort to improve the status of the community, especially children of pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. The program aims to ensure that the fulfillment of nutrition in Indonesia in the land of Papua is optimized and is the foundation for the realization of fair and equitable national development,” he explained.
Furthermore, Esau Tegai, assessed positively that MBG in Papua can develop the quality of Papuan human resources (HR) in the future. MBG can make Papuan children smarter and more globally competitive.
“The Free Nutritious Meal Program is very positive for the development of quality human resources in Indonesia and especially in Papua, towards the golden Indonesia in 2045 and creating a potential generation that is healthy, intelligent and globally competitive, through strong collaboration between the government, society and the private sector, he said.
It is hoped that all MBG program targets can be achieved, including in Papua, and have a positive impact on national development, he concluded.
