PB ESI’s success has brought the Esports National Team to Win 2 Gold Medals from the 2023 SEA Games
Chairman of the Indonesian Esports Association (PBESI) Budi Gunawan is very proud of the achievements of e-sports athletes at the 2023 SEA Games. Budi Gunawan highly appreciates the high achievements of e-sports athletes.
“All of us on behalf of PBESI are very proud, touched, and it’s hard to say in words. It is a very proud achievement,” said Budi Gunawan.
As a form of appreciation, PB ESI has prepared bonuses for athletes who win medals and make Indonesia proud on the world stage.
It is known that the Men’s esports national team and the Women’s esports national team won the gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia. The men’s national esport team led by Baskoro Dwi “roseau” Putra as the coach succeeded in gaining gold at the SEA Games 2023 Cambodia after going through a long drama with the Singapore National Team in the final.
Meanwhile, in a tense Mobile Legend match, the Women’s National Esport Team was left behind with a score of 2-1. However, the winning mentality of the team, which consisted of Fumi, Viorelle, Michelle, Vivi, Cindy, Isna and Violett, did not flinch at all until they managed to turn things around, winning with a score of 3-2.
As additional information, Esport or Electronic Sport deserves to be called a sport because the operation of the games uses human energy and mind, like other sports.
Currently, young Esport athletes from the Indonesian Contingent are under the tutelage of PBESI, the Indonesian Esport Executive Board led by Budi Gunawan.
Both in national and international events, Esport since 2014 by the Federation of Community Recreational Sports. So that this branch can be relied on as a new strength for Indonesia to add to the coffers of medals for Indonesia in the future.
