JAKARTA – PT Pertamina (Persero) confirmed that all fuel oil (BBM) distributed to the public is guaranteed safe and free from adulteration.
The information circulating regarding the mixing of Pertalite (RON 90) into Pertamax (RON 92) is stated as disinformation.
VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, ensured that the quality of BBM sold to the public is in accordance with government regulations.
“So for the quality of BBM, we ensure that what is sold to the public is in accordance with the specifications determined by the Director General of Oil and Gas. RON 92 means Pertamax, RON 90 means Pertalite,” said Fadjar.
Fadjar explained that the BBM produced has been tested by Lemigas (Oil and Gas Agency) to ensure its quality standards.
According to him, the case being handled by the Attorney General’s Office is not related to adulteration, but rather regarding the purchase of imported Pertalite and Pertamax.
Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Heppy Wulansari, also emphasized that the public need not worry about the quality of the fuel sold.
“The products that enter the Pertamina fuel terminal are finished products that are in accordance with their respective RON,” he said.
“Pertalite has an RON of 90 and Pertamax has an RON of 92. The specifications distributed to the public from the beginning of receiving the product at the Pertamina terminal have been in accordance with government regulations,” said Heppy,
Acting Daily Task Force (PTH) of the President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Mars Ega Legowo Putra, ensured that the fuel sold was in accordance with the specifications without any changes in the octane number.
“We received it already in the form of RON 90 and RON 92, not in the form of other RON products,” he said.
“There is no process of changing the octane number of the products received by Pertamina Patra Niaga,” Ega emphasized in a Public Hearing (RDPU) with Commission XII,
President Prabowo also responded to the case by emphasizing that the government will clean up and enforce regulations in the oil governance sector in Indonesia.
“Everything is being taken care of, we will clean it up, we will enforce it, we will defend the interests of the people,” Prabowo emphasized.
Pertamina emphasized that the fuel distribution process is always closely monitored by the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas).
With this supervision, the quality and authenticity of the fuel received by the public remains guaranteed in accordance with applicable standards. (*)
