PLN Ensures Electricity Reliability Ahead of the 10th WWF in Bali
Bali – The State Electricity Company (PLN) continues to optimize electricity reliability ahead of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Bali.
General Manager of PLN’s Eastern Java and Bali Transmission Main Unit (UIT JBM), Amiruddin, explained that his party continues to ensure that all equipment is in optimal condition to provide electricity during WWF-10.
“Preparations for the 10th WWF in Bali on May 18-25 have been prepared long ago, because the maintenance carried out by PLN is periodic and monitoring by officers is carried out in real time. “We ensure electricity supply to Bali from both sides, both from Banyuwangi and from the Bali side,” he added.
He ensured that the electricity distribution from Banyuwangi to Bali was guaranteed to be safe without any problems. Apart from that, Amiruddin emphasized that preparations had been carried out through a number of regularly scheduled maintenance.
“UPT (Transmission Implementation Unit) Probolinggo carries out preparations from various lines, from the maintenance side, namely carrying out scheduled routine maintenance, including replacing materials that have experienced a decline in performance, such as replacing SKLT (High Voltage Marine Cable Line) Cable Head insulators. Ketapang,” he explained
Furthermore, Amiruddin stated that his party had also succeeded in completing maintenance according to the assessment of the condition of the Main Transmission Material (MTU) at the Banyuwangi 150kV Main Substation (GI).
“Work continues to be carried out in preparation to ensure that the electricity supply to Bali is safe and reliable because the time is getting closer. “Apart from that, we also carry out preventive efforts with security patrols to ensure rows (right of way) and the absence of flying objects that could pose a risk of disruption to the transmission system so that electricity distribution becomes hampered,” continued Amiruddin.
Not to forget, Amiruddin invited the public to take part in making the 10th WWF a success.
“PLN hopes that the public will work together to maintain a safe electricity system by ensuring that no buildings or plants come into contact with the transmission network, nor do they fly kites close to the transmission network, so that the transmission network is safe, electricity distribution is also reliable without problems,” explained Amiruddin
Separately, a Balinese community figure, I Gusti Ngurah Harta, guaranteed that Bali was ready to hold the 10th WWF.
“The current situation in Bali is very conducive. “Because of the safe situation, the 10th World Water Forum was held in Bali,” said Ngurah Harta
He also invited all parties to collaborate to make the event a success.
Any Indonesian citizen with a nationalist spirit is obliged to maintain security from the smallest neighborhood level onwards. “I guarantee it will be safe and well controlled,” he concluded.
