JAKARTA – The United Development Party (PPP) held a meeting with the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) in order to discuss and decide on a joint winning step in carrying the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, as a presidential candidate in the upcoming 2024 elections.
PDIP received an official visit from PPP at the PDIP DPP office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Sunday (30/4).
Plt Ketum PPP, Muhammad Mardiono said, the basis of political cooperation between PDIP and PPP was based on prediscential political cooperation. The meeting will later be followed up for the purpose of winning Ganjar Pranowo as President in the 2024 Election.
“We will follow up all of this with many stages in order to make Ganjar Pranowo a presidential candidate,” said Mardiono.
In this meeting, continued Mardiono, PPP also entrusted the politics of Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Munkar to Ganjar Pranowo so that it could be implemented at the state political level in the future through religious political principles.
“We also asked Mr. Ganjar Pranowo to continue the leadership relay in continuing our development, we should not be stuck but must move forward,” said the Plt General Chair of PPP.
PPP also emphasized that the charter of agreement in KIB, would not interfere with the internal parties of each, either from Golkar or PAN.
“From the results of the Rapimnas V decision in Yogyakarta, I conveyed the results to KIB and everyone understood that, and KIB did not declare it disbanded, instead I invited KIB to invite their choice to be the same as PPP,” said Mardiono.
Meanwhile, regarding the figure of the candidate for vice president (Cawapres), Ketum PDIP, Megawati Soekarnoputri said that politics is not a static thing, so PDIP will still be waiting.
“Asked now who (the vice presidential candidate) is, I’ve told Mr. Mardiono to wait a minute because there will be a lot of people queuing,” said Megawati.
Previously the Chairman of the PPP DPP Advisory Council M. Romahurmuziy (Romy), explained that in the meeting, which was at the same time halalbihalal, a number of steps were discussed to win together with PPP-PDIP going forward.
“PPP also discussed the vision and mission for the 2024-2029 period, including the formulation of the joint team to win Ganjar Pranowo,” said Romy.
Apart from that, according to Romy, it discussed the preparation of Ganjar socialization materials for Indonesia 2024 with enrichment based on the wisdom of each political party.
