Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) is a long-term government investment to prepare Indonesia’s golden generation for 2045. He believes that human development must begin with adequate nutrition and quality education so that children grow up healthy and intelligent.

“The MBG program is not just food aid, but an investment in the nation’s future. No Indonesian child should suffer from malnutrition in this rich country,” said President Prabowo Subianto.

He emphasized that the program is a crucial foundation for developing superior human resources for the future.

The Head of State also explained that the government will continue to expand the MBG’s reach to remote and border areas. He believes that equal access is crucial so that every child has the same opportunity to grow and learn.

“We must ensure that all Indonesian children receive adequate nutrition, without exception,” he said.

Prabowo also emphasized that the program will be continuously evaluated to ensure its implementation is more targeted and transparent.

In addition to health benefits, the President believes the MBG program has a significant economic impact. He explained that the provision of food supplies under this program will involve farmers, MSMEs, and local industry players.

“We want food supplies to be sourced from domestic production so that farmers and small businesses can prosper,” he said.

According to him, the success of the MBG program will be a tangible benchmark in realizing an independent and socially just Indonesia by 2045.

Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Pratikno, stated that the government continues to strengthen oversight and improve the quality of the MBG program’s implementation. He emphasized the importance of cross-sector synergy to ensure optimal distribution and nutritional standards.

“We ensure that every beneficiary child receives food that meets national nutritional standards. This is the government’s top priority,” he said.
Pratikno added that community and local government participation is crucial to maintaining the program’s sustainability. He believes the MBG program is not just a short-term program, but part of a broader strategy for developing Indonesia’s human resources.

“Healthy and intelligent children today are the leaders of tomorrow. Therefore, MBG is a real investment for Indonesia Emas 2045,” he concluded.***
