Jakarta — The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, considers that the figure of the presidential candidate who has been officially promoted by the PDI-P, namely Ganjar Pranowo, is a leader who really cares about the people.
“Pak Ganjar is a leader who is close to the people, always goes down and is very ideological,” he said.
Furthermore, he gave several messages to Indonesian leaders in the future to be able to continue various superior programs.
“Leaders in the future must continue to continue the nation’s vision and superior programs that have been proclaimed, the state ideology of Pancasila, unity and oneness as well as tolerance and togetherness must be the social foundation of the Indonesian nation,” said Jokowi.
This also includes, according to the Head of State, Indonesia-centric-based development that has so far been implemented so that it can continue.
“Just and equitable people’s welfare, Indonesia-centric development must be the spirit of the national development program,” he said.
Meanwhile, welcoming the mandate given by PDI-P Ketum Megawati Soekarnoputri to her to become a presidential candidate in the 2024 elections, Ganjar himself admitted that he was ready.
“Today, Mother gave me a much tougher mandate, God willing, I will fight for that to become the Republic of Indonesia’s Presidential Candidate,” he said.
Not only that, regarding several messages conveyed by President Jokowi, the elected PDI-P presidential candidate emphasized that he would continue various programs.
“The breakthroughs that Pak Jokowi has built so far, of course, we must continue to be able to continue, how he broke the establishment a lot, of course we must continue that,” concluded Ganjar.
For information, previously the Ketum of the PDI-P Megawati Soekarnoputri had officially appointed Ganjar as the presidential candidate that her party was promoting in the upcoming 2024 elections.
“So on this Kartini Day, I appointed brother Ganjar Pranowo as a party cadre and officer to increase his assignment as a presidential candidate from PDI-P,” he said.
In determining the presidential candidate, Megawati admitted that she had held dialogues with national figures and party ranks and observed how the cadre formation in the PDIP was able to produce many leaders, they hold great responsibility for the people and the nation.
“My duties and responsibilities are not light, therefore I use all my mind and heart. I also had dialogue with national figures including President Jokowi and all party ranks,” said Megawati.
