President Prabowo Affirms Danantara’s Management Is Led by Professionals

JAKARTA — President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has emphasized that the management of the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) is composed of experts and professionals.
There is no room for political appointees or individuals placed based on personal interests in the management of this strategic institution.
The CEO of BPI Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, confirmed that the selection process for the executive team and management was conducted with the involvement of advisors and professional recruiters (headhunting firms).
Rosan assured that the appointed board members have solid track records, expertise in their respective fields, and no involvement in corruption cases.
“The public can see and assess that Danantara is managed by reputable individuals,” said Rosan.
Rosan added that the list of candidates had been reported to President Prabowo Subianto.
Prabowo instructed that the selection process must be rigorous to ensure that no individual is appointed based on vested interests.
“We submitted their names along with their CVs because they must have a strong reputation and high integrity,” Rosan continued.
The Secretary-General of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi), Anggawira, welcomed the establishment of BPI Danantara.
According to him, Danantara must operate independently, free from political or business interference.
He stressed that transparency and accountability in managing state assets are crucial aspects.
“Investment management must be conducted under strict supervision to prevent abuse of authority. A clear and transparent system is essential to maintain public trust,” said Anggawira.
Anggawira also highlighted the necessity of high-level experience and competence in state asset management.
According to him, only individuals with extensive expertise in investment and asset management deserve to hold strategic positions in Danantara.
“Managing large-scale assets is not an easy task. It requires individuals with proven international competitiveness to ensure Danantara delivers maximum benefits to the national economy,” he added.
From an operational perspective, BPI Danantara’s Chief Operating Officer, Dony Oskaria, revealed that many renowned professionals and senior CEOs are eager to join Danantara as a form of service to the nation.
“Senior CEOs with strong track records want to contribute to Indonesia. Any public doubts will be answered by seeing who will be part of Danantara’s management team. They are all professionals,” said Dony.
Additionally, international figures have joined as advisory board members. They are expected to contribute their expertise in various areas.
“These advisors have expertise in fields such as investment and risk management. With their experience, the governance of state investments can be strengthened optimally,” Dony explained.
With a management team consisting of highly professional and integrity-driven individuals, Danantara is expected to become a strategic instrument for transparent state investment management, ultimately contributing positively to national economic growth.
