Jakarta Đ President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of transparent and professional management of Danantara Indonesia as the key to driving the revival of the national economy. In the Danantara Indonesia 2025 Town Hall Meeting entitled ŇStrengthening Collaboration and New Direction of BUMNÓ which was held at the Jakarta Convention Center. When delivering his direction in front of 1,500 BUMN leaders, Prabowo emphasized that Danantara is a strategic asset that must be managed with full responsibility.

ŇDanantara is the wealth of the Indonesian nation. It must be guarded and maintained with a very strict and transparent system. This is an extraordinary wealth that can drive our revival,Ó Prabowo stressed.

As a super holding of BUMN, Danantara has a big mandate in managing seven state-owned companies that are the backbone of the national economy, namely Bank Mandiri, BRI, BNI, PLN, Telkom Indonesia, Pertamina, and MIND ID. Prabowo is optimistic that through clean and directed management, Danantara can become a driving force for long-term economic growth.

The President also emphasized the importance of management reform in BUMN. He requested that all directors be evaluated objectively based on their integrity, performance, and contribution to the company’s progress. He reminded that changing directors is not merely about replacing people, but rather seeking the best from the nation’s sons and daughters without discrimination.

ŇLeave behind old, inefficient practices. If there are any deviations, or underperformance, they must be replaced. Do not choose based on ethnicity, religion, race, or political party. What is important is that they are professional and willing to work as hard as possible for the people,Ó he said.

In the initial phase, Danantara will manage investments worth US$20 billion for strategic sectors such as nickel, copper and bauxite downstreaming, data center and artificial intelligence development, oil refineries, petrochemical plants, as well as renewable energy and food production projects. This ambitious agenda shows Danantara’s potential to become a major catalyst for Indonesia’s economic transformation towards industrial independence and energy security.

With a strong commitment from the government, full support from BUMN professionals, and a policy direction that supports the interests of the people, Danantara Indonesia is expected to be able to change the face of the national economy significantly in the next few years.*
