President Prabowo Stresses Importance of Transparent and Professional Management of Danantara
Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto, expressed the importance of managing the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) with the principles of transparency and strict governance. This was conveyed at the Danantara Indonesia 2025 Town Hall event attended by 1500 leaders of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) at the Jakarta Convention Center, on April 28, 2025.
President Prabowo emphasized the importance of managing Danantara Indonesia as a national asset that must be maintained with the principles of transparency and strict governance. The President is optimistic that Danantara has great potential to drive the revival of the Indonesian economy.
рDanantara is the wealth of the Indonesian nation, it must be managed as well as possible, guarded, maintained with a transparent and very strict system. Because this is an extraordinary wealth and can drive our revival,с President Prabowo emphasized.
In his direction, the President also asked all BUMN directors to abandon old practices that are inefficient or deviant. Meanwhile, the evaluation of the directors’ performance must be carried out comprehensively, including an assessment of integrity and professionalism.
“Replacement of directors must be carried out if proven to be underperforming or abusing authority, while still prioritizing internal promotions or recruiting competent professionals without discrimination,” he said.
Member of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Kawendra Lukistian hopes that the management of Danantara can change the way the nation’s wealth is managed for the welfare of the people. The funds will be invested in high-impact national industrialization and downstream projects, creating significant added value for Indonesia.
“The management of Danantara must be a turning point in how to manage the nation’s wealth for the welfare of all Indonesian people,” he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir revealed that the government will form a board at BPI Danantara and will be presented to the public within a month.

BPI Danantara was launched on February 24, 2025, as a strategic step by the government in managing national investment to support sustainable investment growth. The management of Danantara as an Investment Management Agency must be carried out with the principles of transparency, integrity, and professionalism to ensure that state assets can be optimally utilized for the welfare of the people.
Support from various parties, including the Indonesian House of Representatives and the Ministry of SOEs, strengthens the direction of this policy, with concrete steps such as the formation of the Danantara supervisory board which will be announced openly to the public. With the great potential that Danantara has, the government is committed to making it a strategic instrument in encouraging national industrialization and downstreaming, as well as ensuring strict supervision of the performance of SOE directors to be free from inefficient practices.
