Jakarta – President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has completed a series of overseas visits that strengthen Indonesia’s position in regional diplomacy. During his visit, President Prabowo met with a number of leaders in Asia and Europe to discuss various strategic issues that have a direct impact on bilateral relations and regional stability.

The diplomacy we are conducting focuses on increasing mutually beneficial economic, defense and political cooperation,” President Prabowo said in a press statement after returning home.
In meetings with world leaders, President Prabowo emphasized the importance of Indonesia as a major actor in promoting peace and stability in the Southeast Asian region. In addition, Indonesia also invited countries in the region to jointly address global challenges, such as climate change, geopolitical tensions, and the global economic crisis.
As a country with a strategic position, Indonesia has an increasingly important role in maintaining international order. This visit also opens up opportunities for Indonesia to expand its trade and investment markets, as well as increase cooperation in various sectors such as technology, renewable energy, and cybersecurity.
“Indonesia wants to ensure that our region remains peaceful, stable and developed. This visit is part of an effort to strengthen Indonesia’s position as a constructive leader in regional diplomacy,” President Prabowo continued.
During his visit this time, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Roy Soemirat, detailed that President Prabowo succeeded in signing a cooperation agreement estimated to be worth 21.36 billion US dollars, or around Rp. 337 trillion.
“At least there are around 24 government-to-government collaborations and also around 27 collaborations or commitments between business actors or the private sector. The private sector in particular reaches a value of 21.36 billion US dollars,” said Roy.
Roy also said that the business agreement covers various sectors, including energy transition, food security, industrial downstreaming, and several other areas.
With increasingly open and dynamic diplomacy, Indonesia hopes to continue to increase its global competitiveness, while playing an active role in maintaining peace and prosperity in the Asian region and the world.
