Jakarta – PDI Perjuangan wants the continuation of the development relay and the succession of national leadership to come back from its cadres. This was revealed by the Chairperson of the PDI Perjuangan DPP, Puan Maharani, during the peak event of Haul Bung Karno at the GBK Main Stadium, Saturday (24/6/2023).
Therefore, according to him, in an effort to continue the relay of development of the country, PDI Perjuangan later appointed Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in 2024.
“On April 21, 2023, the Chairperson of the PDI Perjuangan, Ms. Megawati Soekarnoputri, has determined the presidential candidate for the PDI Perjuangan to be Ganjar Pranowo,” he said.
On the same occasion, Megawati Soekarnoputri explained that the challenges ahead would not be easy. It requires a leader who is experienced, visionary, wise, and has a good track record and is rooted in the grassroots.
“That’s why use your right to vote as well as possible. Pak Ganjar Pranowo will continue to fight with President Jokowi in utilizing the demographic bonus to accelerate the nation’s progress,” said Megawati.
President Jokowi, who was also present at the event, said that Bung Karno was not only the proclaimer of the nation, but also the founder of Indonesia’s nationhood, government and progress.
“Here is the presidential candidate from PDI Perjuangan, Mr. Ganjar Pranowo. I entrust everything for election participants, be it the Pilgub, Pileg, Pilbup, Pilwalkot and Pilpres. Because those who are present here are very decisive,” said Jokowi.
He also advised the younger generation to inherit Bung Karno’s spirit to fight for independence and fill independence to build a developed Indonesia.
On this occasion, PDI Perjuangan presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo asked for prayers for cadres to win the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
“Miss Ma’am, I thank you. In 2013, the election for Governor of Central Java, PDI Perjuangan and Ganjar Pranowo won it. And under the leadership of Mbak Puan, Insha Allah we will win again in 2024, please pray for her,” concluded Ganjar.
