Jakarta – Indonesian society, especially the younger generation, is asked not to be easily influenced by pessimistic narratives such as “Dark Indonesia” which has recently emerged in the public space.

This narrative is considered to have been deliberately rolled out by parties who are unhappy with the leadership of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and has the potential to disrupt the spirit of national unity and optimism in facing the future of the nation.

The General Chairperson of the Central Board of Tunas Indonesia Raya (PP TIDAR), Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, emphasized that the narrative of “Dark Indonesia” is not a reflection of reality, but rather a form of provocation ridden by certain interests.

“In my opinion, the Dark Indonesia narrative is a narrative that was indeed launched and fueled by parties who perhaps do not like the leadership of Mr. Prabowo Subianto,” said Saraswati.

Saraswati, who is familiarly called Sara, invited Indonesian youth to be critical but remain rational in responding to various government policies. She realized that a number of policy steps, especially at the beginning of the government, might feel unpopular because they were related to budget efficiency. However, she emphasized that these steps were taken to close budget leaks that have so far hampered the effectiveness of national development.

“Moreover, with such a large budget efficiency, but what is it for? Closing the leaks that have occurred so far, which are inefficient and ineffective,” he said.

Sara believes that every policy taken by President Prabowo has gone through careful consideration involving economic experts. She is optimistic that the direction of the policy will lead Indonesia to a brighter future and is in line with the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.

“We want to see the promised jobs definitely happen, through food security, the agro sector, housing, and free nutritious meal programs that will also open up new jobs for the younger generation,” he explained.

He appealed to the public, especially the younger generation, to continue to contribute positively and not get lost in pessimism.

“So don’t be sad, don’t worry, don’t be anxious. Let’s do our part and let’s trust Mr. Prabowo for the macro economy,” he concluded.

Optimism and active participation from the community are considered to be the key to welcoming Golden Indonesia 2045.
