Successfully Escorting IESF Bali 14th WEC 2022 Until the End, PB ESI is Flooded with Appreciation

Bali — Successfully guarding the IESF Bali 14th WEC 2022 event until it was over, the Indonesian Esport Executive Board (PB ESI) was immediately flooded with appreciation.

The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI), Zainuddin Amali expressed his extraordinary appreciation for the performance of the Indonesian Esports General Manager (PB ESI) in holding the Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14Th World Esports Championships 2022.

According to him, the event which was held by the association led by Gen. Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan was extraordinary.

“I think this is an extraordinary event. I thank and appreciate PB ESI for organizing this event,” said the Menpora.

How could it not be, because the event was proven to be able to be held with the recognition of a world record recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The world record was recorded as the largest outdoor esports event with the most participants, namely more than 600 athletes from 105 countries.

So far, PB ESI itself has successfully overseen the IESF Bali 14th WEC 2022 until the final closing on Sunday (11/12).

In fact, not a few from various parties showed their enthusiasm and euphoria when attending the closing ceremony.

This is because PB ESI under Budi Gunawan’s leadership was considered very successful, starting from the opening which was very lively, to the closing which was no less lively.

In order to promote the concept of sport tourism, the unique culture of the archipelago continues to be shown in the eyes of the world with the splendor of the event.

Very high appreciation also came from the President of the International Esports Federation (IESF), Vlad Marinescu, that the event organized by PB ESI was indeed extraordinary. Even all the esports families in the world are also enthusiastic.

“The 14th Esports World Championship in 2022 which is currently being held in Bali is extraordinary. All Esports families in the world are very enthusiastic about coming to Bali to take part in this event,” he said.

Meanwhile, PB ESI Daily Chairperson, Bambang Sunarwibowo also emphasized that through esports, it turns out that it can also encourage the promotion of Indonesian culture on the world stage.

“Esport is able to become a sports industry that encourages the promotion of culture on the world stage. Esport can open wide career paths with intelligence, agility, and integrity. What’s amazing is that there are 180 million gamers in Indonesia. This is a big challenge for all stakeholders,” he continued.

Furthermore, with the success presented by PB ESI, Bambang Sunarwibowo continues to be optimistic that the Indonesian esports ecosystem will become a world barometer.

“The holding of the Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14th World Esports Championships 2022 is one of the most important agendas of PB ESI this year. PB ESI is optimistic that the Indonesia Esports Summit: Bali 14th World Esports Championships will become a strong foundation for Indonesia in the future as one of the world’s esports centers and barometers,” he said.

No less proud, Indonesia also emerged as the overall champion in the IESF Bali 14Th WEC championship. In this case, Indonesia won 3 (three) gold from the DOTA 2, eFootball and MLBB game numbers. Indonesia also won 1 bronze medal presented by the CS:GO Women’s National Team.
