Supporting the Fight Against Corruption to Protect the Youth, Community Elements Commit to Assisting the Government
Jakarta — Deputy Chairman of the Central Leadership Board (DPP), Imam Bogie Yudhaswara, along with Secretary-General Adam Irham and Ministers Zulkarnain Idris and Rusdi Ali Hanafiah, visited government offices to discuss their commitment to eradicating corruption. The meeting highlighted the government’s seriousness under President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership in strengthening clean governance while protecting the younger generation from the social and economic impacts of corrupt practices.
Imam Bogie emphasized the importance of safeguarding national interests amid obstacles, challenges, threats, and disruptions (HTAG) that could hinder the nation’s progress. He stated that law enforcement, especially in combating corruption, must be carried out collectively and prioritized so that Indonesia remains strong and sovereign amid global changes.
DPP Secretary-General Adam Irham explained that President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership has shown tangible results in improving governance. Since his inauguration on October 20, 2024, President Prabowo has increased the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) score from 34 to 37 out of 100 and elevated Indonesia’s ranking to 99 out of 180 countries. “According to Mahfud MD’s records, within just nine months, President Prabowo has uncovered 16 major corruption cases. Furthermore, according to the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menkopolkam), in the first 100 days of his leadership, President Prabowo successfully saved state funds amounting to IDR 6.7 trillion,” Adam said.
He stressed that President Prabowo’s commitment to fighting corruption is proven and deserves widespread public support. “In his speech on Labor Day in May 2025, President Prabowo said: ‘The government I lead is determined to eradicate corruption from the soil of Indonesia. I know this is not an easy task; it is a heavy burden.’ This means the president affirms his readiness to sacrifice for the interests of the nation and state,” Adam added.
Adam views this statement as a strong signal of the government’s policy direction, placing corruption eradication as one of the main agendas of the Prabowo–Gibran administration. He added that all elements of the nation must join hands so that President Prabowo does not feel “alone” in the fight against corruption.
The government welcomed the aspirations and support for decisive actions in upholding clean governance. During the meeting, government representatives stressed the importance of moral support from the public to maintain the nation’s integrity. “We will support this as long as the movement brings benefits to the country and the Indonesian people,” said one government official present.
Moreover, the government reminded of the importance of public education to counter the negative influence of social media on the youth. Several issues arising online, according to them, are often manipulated by foreign parties seeking to weaken national stability. “We must educate the public about the proxies used on social media. There are foreign interests that do not want to see Indonesia’s economy progress and its government grow strong,” the official emphasized.
The meeting concluded with a collaborative call to strengthen synergy between the government and civil society in creating transparent and integrity-based governance. This effort demonstrates that fighting corruption is not merely about law enforcement but also part of moral protection and securing the future of Indonesia’s younger generation to grow in a clean, honest, and ethical environment.
