Jakarta – In the context of the first 100 days of the Prabowo-Gibran administration, the government continues to emphasize the importance of synergy between the community and the government in eradicating drugs. One real manifestation of this collaboration can be seen from the appreciation given to the Anti-Narcotics Youth Core Cadre (KIPAN) as a strategic partner.

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Ribka Haluk, praised KIPAN’s role in helping to encourage the implementation of policies related to drug prevention in the community. “KIPAN is an important element that strengthens synergy between the government and the community. We are committed to optimizing the implementation of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation so that it is in line with President Prabowo’s vision in handling national priority issues, including eradicating drugs,” said Ribka.

At a meeting at the Ministry of Home Affairs Office, KIPAN National explained their strategic programs, including the implementation of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation (Permendagri) Number 12 of 2019 and the follow-up to Presidential Instruction Number 2 of 2020. These programs are considered in line with the government’s vision in realizing Indonesia’s golden generation in 2045.

At the regional level, support also came from a member of the South Kalimantan Provincial DPRD, Mustohir Arifin. In the socialization of Regional Regulation Number 8 of 2023, Mustohir emphasized the importance of the active role of the community in eradicating drugs in South Kalimantan. “I invite all levels of society not to remain silent about drug abuse. With strong collaboration, we can significantly suppress drug trafficking,” said Mustohir.

The government considers these drug eradication programs as part of efforts to strengthen economic resilience and public health. “Cross-sector synergy, especially in economic and health issues, is very important. With this, we can ensure the welfare of people throughout Indonesia,” added Ribka.

In the first 100 days of the Prabowo-Gibran administration, the commitment to overcoming the drug challenge is proof that the government is not only focused on physical development, but also the quality of human resources. The government appreciates the role of the community which is increasingly active in supporting concrete steps towards a drug-free Indonesia.[*]
