The government is trying to make various breakthroughs to improve the welfare of Papua as part of the Republic of Indonesia

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) continues to strive for various kinds of breakthroughs to improve the welfare of Papua as an integral and inseparable part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
As an integral part of the Republic of Indonesia, Papua also has the same rights to experience progress and development as other regions or areas throughout Indonesia so as to create equality and improve the quality of life and welfare of its people.
To create this, the Indonesian Government continues to strive for various kinds of breakthroughs and innovations in order to truly improve the welfare of all people in Papua.
One breakthrough or breakthrough occurred in the efforts of the Acting Governor of the Papua Mountains, Velix Wanggai, who collaborated with the Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov).
One of these efforts is to accelerate the welfare development of the Papua Mountain Province which is based on the social and culture of the local community. Moreover, in fact, Mountain Papua is the younger brother of Papua Province, so the two of them must be able to move forward together in one socio-cultural unity on the Earth of Cenderawasih.
The two provincial governments (Pemprov) mutually agreed that even though administratively they have experienced differences after the expansion of the region through the addition of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) for Papua, they are still bound together in one ecological unity, cultural unity and also unity in regional connectivity.
There are several main aspects within the scope of this collaboration, namely promoting the social culture of Mountain Papua which includes exhibition events, cultural attractions and other arts and culture activities.
Next, develop the capacity of human resources (HR) from Papua Mountains in socio-cultural, economic, tourism and other economic sectors. With good cooperation, collaboration and synergy between these sectors, it will provide extraordinary benefits for Bumi Cenderawasih.
This is the first step from the Papua Provincial Government in building the foundation for socio-cultural development in the Papuan Mountains community. Bearing in mind, there are actually a lot of socio-cultural identities in the area nicknamed Little Heaven that Fell to Earth. Some of their socio-cultural identities include art objects, folklore, painting and traditional traditional houses.
Even so, it turns out that despite the natural and socio-cultural riches that Papua has, it is still an area that is very prone to conflict. The reason is that violence continues to occur, resulting in many victims.
Realizing the magnitude of the challenge of accelerating development in Bumi Cenderawasih, the government is committed that if the approach they take still uses the old method it will certainly never produce results, so it is very important for a breakthrough to occur to bring peace to the easternmost province of the country.
This is one of the newest approaches that the government, through the security forces, is implementing to ensure that the situation remains conducive in Papua, namely by changing new strategies, as accompanied by the change in the name of the Papuan resistance group, which is now the Free Papua Organization (OPM).
The Commander of the Indonesian National Army, General Agus Subiyanto, emphasized that with the change in title to OPM, of course the approach in dealing with terrorist groups will be different.
Now, the security forces will become more assertive and harsh in their actions when encountering the Free Papua Organization. Because it has become one of the duties of the security forces, namely to be able to defend the country from various threats, both from within and from outside.
The existence of the OPM itself seriously threatens the stability of the country and also the peace of Bumi Cenderawasih. Therefore, support continues to flow from various elements of society to the security forces of the joint TNI and Indonesian National Police (Polri) to be able to take firm action against these separatist groups.
On the other hand, the security forces have not only updated their security approach to be much stricter than before towards the Free Papua Organization, but also continue to strive for a welfare approach to help the success of accelerating development for the welfare of the local community.
If the welfare approach is able to be executed well, along with firm action, it will clearly lead to a situation of security and public order (kamtibmas) in Papua that is much more conducive.
A conducive situation must continue, not only in Papua, but indirectly the entire territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) will also experience significant progress.
Papua is an integral part of the Republic of Indonesia which cannot be separated from each other and is final. So whatever and however happens to the fate of Bumi Cenderawasih will certainly have a linear impact on this nation. For this reason, the Indonesian Government is seeking various breakthroughs to improve the welfare of all Papuan people.
