Thorough Preparation to Welcome Delegates of Indonesia Sustainability Forum 2024
Jakarta – In 2024, Indonesia will hold the Indonesia Sustainability Forum (ISF) again on a larger scale and transform its name into the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF).
In this regard, PT PLN (Persero) through the Jakarta Raya Main Distribution Unit (UID) held an electricity alert roll call to welcome the state visit of Pope Francis and the International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024 on September 3-6 in Jakarta.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said, PLN ensures the electricity system is in a reliable condition to support the success of every major state agenda. Including in welcoming the arrival of the leader of the World Catholic community, Pope Francis, in Indonesia until the 2024 ISF Event.
“PLN is committed to providing the best service, especially in supporting the success of international events such as the visit of Pope Francis and ISF 2024. The entire team is on standby, and we will continue to monitor the condition of the electricity system in real time during the event,” said Darmawan.
Meanwhile, the Commander of the Joint Integrated Security Command, Vice Admiral Agus Hariadi, expressed the readiness of security forces to ensure the smooth running of the ISF event until the arrival of Pope Francis in Indonesia.
“For the TNI troops deployed in this operation, there are around 4,300 with basic defense equipment strength standards,” he said.
Likewise, the Commander of the Mobile Brigade Corps, Commissioner General of Police Imam Widodo, said that he had prepared 4,730 police personnel to secure the two events.
The Polri personnel, added Commissioner General of Police Imam Widodo, consist of the Pre-emptive Task Force and anti-terrorism.
“So for the strength of the deployed Polri members, as many as 4,730 people. We involve them starting from pre-emptive, deployed in the pre-emptive Task Force, to anti-terrorism as well. We involve everyone,” he said.
The Indonesia International Sustainability Forum 2024 will focus on 5 pillars of discussion, namely green economy, energy transition, nature conservation and biodiversity, sustainable living and marine economy (Blue Economy).
