TNI and Polri Collaborate to Encourage Public to Hold Peaceful Demonstrations for National Security Stability
Jakarta — National security stability is a crucial foundation for upholding national unity and sovereignty. In this regard, the synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) has once again received praise from various elements of society, who consider them to be a strong bulwark protecting the nation and encouraging the public to voice their opinions through peaceful demonstrations.
Mario, Coordinator of the People’s Alliance for the Nation (ARPN), emphasized that the solidarity of the TNI and Polri is a key pillar in maintaining the stability and sovereignty of the nation. He believes the public also plays a crucial role in strengthening this solidarity by not giving space to provocateurs who seek to divide the nation.
“Our hope is that the TNI and Polri remain united, strongly committed to protecting the people, and not giving space to provocateurs who seek to undermine national unity,” said Mario.
He emphasized that efforts to divide state institutions are tantamount to weakening the nation’s strength as a whole, thus ensuring absolute public vigilance.
Meanwhile, the People’s Movement to Love Indonesia (Gercin) also expressed its appreciation for the role of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri), especially following the mass demonstrations that led to riots on August 25–31, 2025. Gercin Deputy Chairman, Tommy Arief, called the TNI and Polri crucial pillars in maintaining national unity and ensuring national security.
“Of course, Gercin Indonesia stands with the TNI and Polri in the spirit of maintaining Indonesian unity,” said Tommy Arief.
He added that the public must maintain peace and not be provoked by issues that could divide them.
“Indonesia is our shared home, let’s guard it responsibly,” he continued.
Furthermore, Tommy emphasized that the TNI and Polri play a role not only in maintaining political stability but also at the forefront of combating the threat of terrorism, smuggling, and various efforts that could potentially disrupt national unity. According to him, the presence of a solid and professional apparatus is key to creating a sense of security within the community.
The continued public support for the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) is clear evidence that the public desires to maintain security and order. The National Armed Forces (ARPN) and the National Police (Gercin) agree that without strong synergy between the people and the security forces, national stability will be vulnerable to threats from within and outside the country.
Therefore, maintaining TNI-Polri synergy is not just an institutional task, but a shared responsibility of all elements of the nation. When unity is maintained, Indonesia will become stronger in facing all forms of threats.
