UI Alumni Association Election 2025: Dr. Dewi Offers Unity to Alumni
Jakarta – Ahead of the direct election (Pemila) for the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini has adopted the overarching theme of “Unity and Innovation” as the foundation of her leadership. She believes that ILUNI UI is not merely an administrative forum for alumni, but must also serve as a space that unites all alumni in a collaborative spirit and opens innovative horizons to address the challenges of the times.
“The UI Alumni Association needs to be a unifying hub for alumni from diverse backgrounds, as well as an accelerator of impactful ideas and contributions. We need innovation, but we also need solidarity,” he said.
Dr. Dewi also emphasized the importance of digitalizing services, organizational transparency, and strengthening the role of young alumni as the spearheads of transformation. She also highlighted the potential of strategic alumni networks in strengthening their scientific, social, and national roles.
“All alumni should work together to make ILUNI UI a place of collaboration, not just a symbol of organizational formality,” Dewi requested.
The 2025 UI Alumni Association Election is expected to be a platform for affirming the values of unity, innovation, and integrity. Through values-based leadership, Dr. Dewi presents a new direction that unites and re-elevates UI Alumni as a progressive and sustainable social, academic, and national force.
Embracing the spirit of unity and innovation, Dr. Dewi offered all alumni a grand vision to make ALUNI UI a shared space that unites potential and encourages the birth of new breakthroughs.
“Alumni should actively contribute to strengthening cross-generational solidarity and present ALUNI UI as a locomotive of change that is relevant, inclusive, and has a real impact on the nation,” he said.
This initiative received a positive response from various alumni groups. The inclusive and innovative leadership vision was deemed capable of addressing the longing for an active, modern, and truly beneficial alumni organization. The commitment to bridging generations of UI alumni was also seen as a strategic step in building a competitive collective force.
The Head of the FTUI Alumni Association, Didit Ratam, emphasized the importance of alumni participation in determining the organization’s future direction. He stated that active alumni participation is not only about voting, but also about fostering a spirit of unity and providing space for innovation in the organization’s future.
“We’re not just electing a leader, but building an inclusive and visionary organizational culture. It’s time for Alumni Association of UI to become a home of innovation, a place where alumni come together to create,” said Didit.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the UI Alumni Association, Ahmad Fitrianto, stated that the UI Alumni Association plays a vital role not only for alumni and their alma mater, but also for the wider community. Through synergy with other university alumni associations within Himpuni, the UI Alumni Association is expected to have a greater impact.
“Currently, the UI Alumni Association is part of the Himpuni presidium. Whoever is elected, we hope to continue our synergy with Himpuni and the government to support food self-sufficiency and improve the welfare of the Indonesian people,” he said.
