Jakarta – The 2025 General Election of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) is an important event that will shape the future direction of the alumni organization. Among the candidates, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, MARS, stands out by emphasizing a vision of inclusive and collaborative leadership as a response to today’s evolving challenges.

Carrying the tagline “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us,” Dewi envisions ILUNI UI as a united, progressive, and inclusive home for all alumni—one that encourages the exchange of ideas, mutual growth, and meaningful contributions not only to fellow alumni but also to the alma mater and the nation, as Indonesia looks toward its Golden Vision 2045.

“ILUNI UI must be a big home for all alumni, a place to share ideas, grow together, and make real contributions,” Dewi said. For her, the strength of UI alumni lies in collaboration—across faculties, generations, and professional fields. This belief is shaped by her own experience in both organizational and professional roles, which have shown her how collective action can lead to sustainable impact.

To realize her vision, Dewi has laid out a comprehensive leadership framework centered on modernizing ILUNI through digital transformation, expanding the global alumni network, empowering alumni in a sustainable way, contributing to a healthier Indonesia, and advancing women’s empowerment within the UI alumni community.

Support for Dewi’s candidacy has come from various alumni circles. Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, Chair of ILUNI Faculty of Medicine, praised Dewi as a unifying figure with a vision aligned to the current needs of the alumni organization. He noted that her leadership style and ideas reflect a deep understanding of the alumni’s potential role in national development. He also expressed hope that the democratic process of the election would further reinforce solidarity within the broader UI alumni family.

Similarly, ILUNI UI Secretary General Ahmad Fitrianto welcomed Dewi’s ideas and highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation with national stakeholders such as HIMPUNI (the Association of Indonesian State University Alumni) and the government. According to him, ILUNI UI needs to play a more active role in supporting national priorities, including food sovereignty, digital innovation, and social welfare.

Ahmad emphasized that the democratic nature of the 2025 ILUNI UI election reflects the values of openness and participation, in line with the spirit of organizational reform. The election is not merely a competition, but a platform to strengthen unity, pride, and shared identity among UI alumni.

Through her campaign theme, “Alumni UI We Care!”, Dewi stresses the importance of inclusive leadership—leadership that listens, connects, and collaborates. Her vision resonates with the broader national agenda that encourages public participation, cross-sector collaboration, and the development of high-quality human capital.

Ultimately, the 2025 ILUNI UI Election is expected to produce a leader who not only fosters alumni unity but also strengthens ILUNI UI’s role as a strategic partner to the government in achieving Indonesia’s 2045 goals. Dewi Puspitorini’s inclusive and forward-thinking vision offers new hope for transforming ILUNI UI into a modern, adaptive, and relevant organization—ready to meet the demands of the future.
