The strength of the people or the people’s movement became a prominent key in Amien Rais’s oration on the 313 action to replace the spotlight from various media. Amien said, if there was a reduction, measurable, systematic and massive nature, there would be verification, his party would not enter the Constitutional Court (MK). He considered it not the point, so he would immediately use People Power. This was called for by Amien Rais while giving a speech at the Sunda Kelapa Complex Mosque in Action 313. The action was attended by a number of organizations, such as FUI, FPI and PA 212 and taken as a reminder of actions for the KPU so that they cannot be carried out free of charge in the April 17 2019 election.

The former Chairperson of the MPR agreed that people’s power would be exercised if they found fraud in the conduct of elections. Amien make sure if you want to move the masses, still use peace.

“Not a revolution, if the revolution has bloodshed. This without any blood spilled out, the strength of people will be used, “said Amien Rais.

The Constitutional Court argued this and agreed with the appeal of the strength of the Amien Rais people. According to the Constitutional Court spokesman, Fajar Laksono, the agreement was categorized as a court insult against the Court as a judicial institution. Because of that, deny hard work.

Through this statement, Amien considered deciding the resolution of the conflict in a democratic country, which in 1998 was carried out with students and the people, compilation to the path of overthrowing the New Order regime. People’s power can be interpreted as the mobilization of mass forces to release and even undermine the discourse or mastery of the power of an established ruler.

The term power people themselves began to worldwide compilation of large demonstrations took place in the Philippines, 33 years ago and culminated in the fall of President Ferdinand Marcos. Marcos before being ousted by popular power, has been in power as president for 21 years. He also managed to impose martial law for 9 years to win freedom of consent. Throughout 1998, a compilation of students and people took to the streets demanding President Soeharto step down.

Not much different from what is in Indonesia, where in 32 years under the Suharto regime, he had severed ties to democracy. There is no press freedom. The military controls many civilian governments, and corruption is rampant. Power people Speech made by PAN politicians also received the spotlight

Minister of Home Affairs (Minister of Home Affairs) Tjahjo Kumolo who disagreed with Amien Rais, who called for being asked that all elections use the power of the people. Tjahjo requested that Amien not invite the public to do deviant activities.

“Don’t challenge the community. “Don’t invite the public to ask for permission from the law,” said Tjahjo.
He also explained that Indonesia had provided a channel to resolve electoral disputes. He considered Amien Rais’s appeal regarding people’s strengths provocative and tended to cause anarchism.

“Regarding satisfaction, I’m not satisfied with the results of the election, there is a channel. Demanding legal problems has a channel. But don’t provoke the public to do anarchism, “concluded Tjahjo.

Moeldoko’s Presidential Chief of Staff also regretted Amien Rais’s remarks, according to him, saying he appreciated the objection.

“I think that is an inappropriate choice, let us not do national unity and unity above all – everything,” said Moeldoko.

Moeldoko considers that Indonesia is a legal state. He remembered that Amien Rais made a wise decision as a figure.

“I think elders who are being sued do not need that,” added the former TNI Commander.
Mahfud MD also participated as Amien Rais’ representative who could raise suspicion from various circles so that it could create potential disunity among the nation’s children.

Millennial spokesman for TKN, Garda Maharsi said that Amien Mengangkat gave a good example to the people. Democracy does allow us to allow childishness. But if Mr. Amien Rais, according to him, is not as determined.

While the Political Observer from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Indria Samego, assessed the problem raised by Amien Rais about the power of people would be in vain. Without a government that proved to be authoritarian, he doubted the strength of the Amien people would sell in Indonesia. In addition, Amien Rais did not have a mass of supporters. Amien Rais’s threat will first add to the seeds of conflict in the future instead of strengthening democracy in Indonesia.
