Be Aware of The Threat of Terrorism and Radicalism

The threat of terror sometimes arises with the existence of several major events in Indonesia. Terrorist groups in many of their actions often make use of the negligence of the apparatus, major events will make the police apparatus focused on it, and terrorists can finally take advantage of the momentum of the apparatus.
One of the moments was the stabbing of the Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security, Wiranto. Where terrorist groups take advantage of the weakness of early detection and careless security. Therefore the government must continue its efforts in exposing the network of stabbing perpetrators.
Previously the Director of Prevention of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Brigadier General Ir Hamli, M.R said that, the threat of spreading terrorism had begun to enter educational institutions. These threats range from high school (high school) to early childhood education (PAUD).
He explained, at the college level, the spread of terrorism and radicalism was already running. Evidenced by the large number of actors whose backgrounds are graduates or students from tertiary institutions.
But now, the issue of the threat of spreading this understanding has been combing at the high school and even PAUD level, if this is true then the terrorist group has prepared a neat regeneration.
Of course we should be suspicious if there are schools that don’t want to put up red and white flags or don’t want to sing the Indonesia Raya song. TNI and Polri officers must of course have to monitor if they find this out
Hamli also said, where one of the universities in East Java, when he conducted interviews with as many as 6,000 new students. The results showed 27 percent of these students no longer wanted to use Pancasila as a basis.
Then it says, terrorism is the most extreme movement. Understanding terrorism does not necessarily immediately arise just like that, but stems from an attitude of intolerance, radicalism, so that it grows in acts of terrorism.
Awareness of the threat of terrorism must not fade. As Jokowi was inaugurated in his second period, the threat of terrorism still loomed over Indonesia, as evidenced by the capture of dozens of suspects, some of whom were suspected of having planned terrorist acts.
Yenny Wahid, as the director of the Wahid Institute, said that young age includes being vulnerable to being tolerant and radical. Because they enter the phase of searching for identity or identity. Moreover, this generation saw an injustice around them.
The impact of these young people can easily accept the radical ideas and thoughts that they have obtained easily, through writing in cyberspace or verbally delivered by the religious leaders they admit.
Young people also need to understand the meaning of jihad so as not to misinterpret. Because Jihad itself means sincerity, it does not mean fighting or spreading fear.
We cannot deny that the democratic system in Indonesia almost provides the widest possible container for every citizen to do anything. Democracy which is interpreted and practiced in this country is really far more “wild” when compared to democracy implemented in neighboring countries, Malaysia for example, this is because the country has an Internal Security Act (ISA), with these laws Malaysia can cracking down on anyone suspected of endangering public life.
We certainly already know how terrible and crazy radical groups such as the Abu Sayyaf and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), they are willing to threaten, terrorize and kill fellow human beings is like a hunter who shoots animals.
The Pancasila ideology rejects all notions of radicalism and terrorism. Both ideologies are proven to be dangerous to Indonesia and many other countries. This is because radicalism is an understanding that validates relief. Scientifically usually associated with proposals that are fundamental solutions in improving the social system in society.
Prevention and control of radicalism needs to be done in a directed and coordinated manner involving many parties, especially ulama and umara.
The family also plays a role in providing a good understanding of religion to their children, the lack of time for parents to educate religion to their children can make the child and then look for his own religious studies, until finally it is not impossible that smelling provocation will make him turn into a radical.
