For the smoothness and success of the upcoming 2024 General Election (Election) year, it is necessary to uphold the principles of democratic and open elections. Of course this is not only the task of the KPU, Bawaslu, or Legislative Candidates (Caleg) participants, but all elements in the country must also be responsible for maintaining, encouraging and realizing a peaceful, secure, peaceful and prosperous 2024 Election.

Soon Indonesia will hold a celebration in the form of General Elections (Elections) in 2024. The 2024 election is also touted as a democratic party, of course, not only the legislative candidates are participating in enlivening this party, but the whole community is also involved and feeling the atmosphere. Indeed, this leadership change usually causes various kinds of ideologies to emerge so that there are also many differences. However, these differences are not an obstacle, they are a force to create unity and oneness.

The change of leadership in 2024 will not only belong to the organizers, but also to all Indonesian people, so various parties should participate in welcoming the 2024 elections safely and peacefully even though they have different choices. On this occasion, Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle Widiastadi Nugroho emphasized that this legislative election would be held in a democratic and open manner, and that various parties must jointly push for a peaceful election.

This is because the upcoming 2024 election will not only be the stage for the Legislative Election (Pileg), but there will also be contestations for the Presidential Election (Pilpres) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD). This means that there are many agendas for the 2024 presidential election that have the potential to bring various kinds of differences. Therefore, for the sake of the success of the democratic agenda this time, it is hoped that all parties can take responsibility for keeping this situation safe and under control.

On the same occasion, other participants represented by the Chairman of the Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) Ir H. Dollah Mando also hoped that the 2024 elections would be safe, orderly, honest and fair. Meanwhile, Acting (PJ) Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono also invited Buddhists through the Permabudhi to be able to support and create a peaceful, cool, serene atmosphere ahead of the political year. This aims to support the creation of a peaceful, prosperous and advanced Indonesia.

Regarding this matter, the security forces also appealed to the public not to easily participate in spreading news without a clear source, even hoax news or fake news on social media that is not clear. Moreover, to cause unrest in society itself. It is better to avoid things like this in order to realize a peaceful democratic party without the need for bloodshed.

According to Vice President (Wapres) KH Ma’ruf Amin, the election moment is precisely the moment when the unity and unity of the nation is tested. How could it not be, because society has the potential to be polarized as a result of the heat of political tension when the election was held. He also hopes that he does not want to repeat the bad experiences that happened in the past. Therefore, the upcoming 2024 election must be emphasized to be a safe, peaceful and quality election. Of course, the ideals of a country that has been built in such a way must be seriously guarded, not because elections seem to be counterproductive because they have the potential to divide the nation.

Even though the election is currently competing to win from the participants, they still submit to national unity by holding tightly to the foundation of our country, namely Pancasila, to face the upcoming 2024 elections. In the five Pancasila points which form the basis of a just and prosperous country, it needs to be implemented properly to avoid campaigns that are contrary to Pancasila values. The reason is, in regulating state administration it is important to pay attention to the points of the five points of Pancasila.

On this occasion, President Jokowi advised all levels of the General Election Commission (KPU) in the framework of readiness for the implementation of the 2024 simultaneous election stages, there is still momentum that remains so that it is used as well as possible to increase the technical capacity of election preparation, correct deficiencies, improve problems that have not been or must be resolved, overcoming obstacles and overcoming existing weaknesses. This settlement was carried out together and did not forget to build innovation so that the process and results could be accepted and supported by the wider community.

Not only technical matters, the President also reminded this important matter to the KPU so that it can work efficiently, make the best possible use of the existing budget carefully, and set priorities in the midst of global economic conditions which are currently full of difficulties and uncertainties.

Therefore, it is important that all levels of society and the policy makers involved here uphold the principles of democratic and open elections in order to make the upcoming 2024 elections run as successfully and peacefully as expected. The task also needs to be implemented seriously so as not to cause excessive chaos, so that the goals can be achieved properly.
